#10 SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #50 TYSON HESSE COVER RI-B (1:25) | IDW | 2022
Sonic the Hedgehog is speeding to our top 10 and runner-up lists this week! The meteoric ascent in value of this notable 1:25 ratio is astounding! This cover was going for $50-$80 in early presales and now sits at a comfortable FMV of $130. It’s not the only Sonic cover to make it to our lists this week. Check out our runner-up list for another excellent Sonic 50th-anniversary cover! We tracked 23 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 71%, with a high sale of $140 for a raw copy.

#9 IRON CAT #1 SKAN (1:50) | MARVEL | 2022
First appearing in 2020’s BLACK CAT #12, the Iron Cat has already had some early traction with Skan’s variant for that issue. That issue sparked the mystery of Iron Cat, which continued into this captivating story. Add another fantastic Skan cover for Iron Cat #1, and you, once again, have a highly desirable book. Within less than a week, this book’s value has nearly doubled from $45 to a recent sale of $72! If that wasn’t enough, this book has also propelled another book into our top 10, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #4 (but more on that in a bit). We tracked 21 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 95%, with a high sale of $90 for a raw copy.

#8 THE INCREDIBLE HULK #449 | MARVEL | 1997
The Thunderbolts are back! After the official confirmation of the team’s entry into the MCU, this book fell entirely off our lists last week. However, it’s gaining traction once more after Julia Louis-Dreyfus addressed her role in forming the team, “There’s a lot of mystery in terms of her background, and whether she’s a good guy or a bad guy remains to be seen… she’s sort of living in a gray zone. And I like the idea of a female mastermind… She’s about three steps ahead of everyone, and that’s gobs of fun to play.” We tracked 24 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 95%, with a high sale of $750 for a CGC 9.8.

#7 BLACK PANTHER #3 | MARVEL | 2022
Tosin officially (and FINALLY) appears in the upcoming BLACK PANTHER #7 comic. Once again, fans are picking up his first appearance in Black Panther #3 (though they never stopped). We’re eager to see the continued development of one of the hottest new Marvel characters. #5 EIGHT BILLION GENIES #1 BIRD CITY TRISH FORSTNER SUPER MARIO 3 HOMAGE (LIMITED TO 500) | IMAGE | 2022
What a surprise! EIGHT BILLION GENIES is once again on our list. This Mario Homage from Bird City Comics, drawn by Trish Forstner of Stray Dogs, just barely beat out the 1:50 Browne Glitter Cat variant, with a raw sale of $150, 11 copies sold, and a 7-day trend of 353%. Raw copies have since settled to an FMV of $100. Yet, they once again seem to be heading back up to $150.

#4 WHAT IF: MILES MORALES #4 | MARVEL | 2022
Last week’s controversial issue continues to hold onto a spot, despite falling from 106 copies sold last week to 59 this week. More of this controversial portrayal of Miles-Thor is set to appear in this week’s WHAT IF… MILES MORALES #5. At a 7-day trend of 101%, we tracked a high sale at $25 raw. However, the current FMV has settled to $12.

#3 THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #4 | MARVEL | 1984
Iron Cat strikes again! Spoilers ahead… Many folks passed on Iron Cat’s appearance in BLACK CAT #12, thinking it was just a gimmick to turn Felicia Hardy into a more formidable Marvel character. Yet, in the opening issue of the Iron Cat series, we learn the women’s identity under the armor. The reveal is a blast from the past, in the form of Tamara Blake! This reveal has spiked interest in her first appearance in this issue of Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #4. Interestingly, the newsstand edition sells fewer copies than the direct edition. Find out why this might be in our runner-up entry for the newsstand version of this issue! We tracked 49 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 192%, with a high sale of $40 for a raw copy.

#2 EIGHT BILLION GENIES #1 JENNY FRISON & STEVE SEELEY | IMAGE | 2022

#1 EIGHT BILLION GENIES #1 | IMAGE | 2022
Although the main cover by Ryan Browne is in the top spot, nearly all the EIGHT BILLION GENIES #1 have received a healthy value boost. Yet, due to its accessibility, fans immediately jumped to this standard issue and bought them up! We tracked 70 copies sold, at a 7-day trend of 348%, with a high sale of $31 for a raw copy.
