However, the NYCC exclusive removed the trade dress and, with a lower print run (800), effectively made it that much more desirable. While Batman #666 debuts a different version entirely of Professor Pyg, this version of the villain is the most recognizable. The psychotic doctor takes his victims and makes them into Dollotrons. Matt Reeves has already expressed interest in several Batman villains, one of them being Professor Pyg. This deranged villain would fit well into the psychological/ detective thriller environment of Reeves’ THE BATMAN.
