Welcome to the bizarro world of Robert Nunn, a welder from Missouri whose 70s self-published comics Earthman & Torch have been rediscovered as outsider art. Born of wholesome comics strips by way of Satanic Panic tracts, this pairing mashes vampire space horror with the adventures of an evangelical scare-mongering superhero.
Picks of the Week
Miles Morales Spider-Man #1 – Raneem Aka Rabble makes an appearance in this issue. But, it is a new Miles #1 so it is worth a pickup even without a new character introduction.
Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur #1 – Moon Girl assembles a super-hero/roller derby team of her own, made up of Inhuman kids, one of which may be a super villain.
If you were to purchase Batman Spawn #1. Which top 3 variants would you purchase
That’s a tough one. The lower ratio ones are going to be so readily available that you should be able to find them for cover price or less eventually. The only ones that may be difficult to get are the higher ratio, but then again they could be readily available. For example, my lcs has 4 stores so they ordered 2,000 copies for all locations. That’s 200 1:10’s they got. Big online retailers will be the same. I don’t recommend getting the higher ratio but that’s the only chance of the variants really having any value.
