Strange Movement: 'Battle Chasers' on the move

Here is strange one. Since the announcement that Battle Chasers would be making a return, copies have been flying off the virtual shelves of ebay. People have been buying up copies of a book that was stagnant for so long. Battle Chasers was part of the Cliffhanger line, which pumped out some real quality books in the late 90’s.

A recent announcement from Joe Madureira, AKA Joe Mad!, that the book would finally be revisited has sent people scrambling for the back issues. I know I had a ton of these back in the day and loved the series. In addition to the series, a game based on Battle Chasers will come out.
Copies of the main regular covers can still be found cheap on places like Mycomicshop but if the buzz continues these could be gone.
The most popular cover, then and now, seems to be Battle Chasers #1 Another Universe Variant. This cover is moving nicely in the $40 range. Slightly higher in the $60-70 range is Battle Chasers #1 Chromium Variant. The standard covers and lesser variants such as Battle Chasers #1B and Battle Chasers #1 Travis Charest variant are both moving in the $20 range.
Time to hunt you collection from the 90’s and cash out, or back issue bin dig for a flip.

  1. Lol…I remember my Mother’s disapproval when I brought that cover home from the CBS. Still got it, and the rest…but definately debating buying a whole new set! Mine just isn’t minty enough for my PC. Joe Mad is definately in my top 3 of favourite artists, it’ll be interesting to see his new take on the characters.
