DIRTY D’s F.O.C. PICKS – 11/9/25
We’re entering the “weird” part of the FOC season…with Holidays stacking up, some publishers have books on FOC more than 5 weeks in advance…some towards the end of the month go into January (Remember Ultimate Spider-man #1 a few years back?).
Anyway, just be aware if you’re ordering online and bundling. Otherwise, have fun!
COVERS
I have no idea if the story is good. I just know Huge’s has put out some good covers in this run.
Normally I don’t highlight incentives, but this one seems a bit unusual. It’s a 1:10 foil variant of a Baroness cover. Several places seem to be allowing people to order it for $10. Not the best cover, but could be a sleeper. Theres’s non-foil as well (also a 1:10).
We here at Oni Press accidentally bent all nine copies of Battle Dog #1 that we hastily opened in the parking lot with our teeth. So we asked ourselves, surely there must be a better way?! Enter: THE BLIND BAG-LESS VARIANT COVER, the most convenient, no-mess, no-fuss variant cover delivery system ever attempted. No flimsy plastic, no environmentally destructive waste nothing to protect you from the raw comic book awesomeness of Rick and Morty teleporting back through time and space to hilariously deface four of their most iconic comic covers of the past decade, totally randomized in no particular order. Is this meta? Weve never been exactly sure what that means, but sure . . . this is meta. We encourage you to ironically order 39 of these to prove how meta it is.
No clue what this is. My guess is it’s random covers under a blank cover or something.
Black Panther: Intergalactic #1 (Winter Break Variant)
There’s only one reason I’m highlighting this cover…

NOTABLE REPRINTS
First appearance of Two-Face. Highlighting the foil, but I don’t think cover is foil worthy.

May be on the cover.
INDY SPOTLIGHT

Ash’s creator, a robot called Rust, explains that all mechanical life and artificial intelligence on the ship decided they no longer served the human crew. In its place arose a CYBERARCHY, a more efficient mechanical society. But Ash soon realizes that all is not well–this Cyberarchy is a fractured society, with a secret hidden at the heart of it all hat will one day pit all organic life against robots like himself…
PICK OF THE WEEK
SCOTT SNYDER REUNITES WITH LEGENDARY ARTIST JOCK! Alfred reveals to Bruce the story of the man hes been chasing for years. Enter: Joker! Scott Snyder and Jock reunite for an epic tale in the Absolute Universe!
SURPRISE!!!
This one is totally going to catch people off guard. It’s going to be the reciprocal of what should happen. So many people are going to think it’ll be over ordered, so they will back down and not get it…but then the opposite will happen where now shops wont order enough…and then there’s shortage and supply cannot meet demand.
But in all seriousness…this will get massively ordered…but so does every other Absolute Batman book and they still sell out and the first prints command decent aftermarket prices. It’s just been that good a book. So don’t be that guy (or gal) who says…“I’ll go a little later…I’ll go a little later…” and have them be gone when you get to your LCS.
Don’t be like Homer and Mr. T.

Parting Thoughts
Have a great weekend everyone.!
