FINAL ORDER CUT-OFF for JANUARY 19th, 2026!!

Oh boy…I hope you’ve squared up on your credit card bill for December, because January is about to get rolling. A lot more books to talk about…it’s been a while since there has been so much to highlight! Let’s get rolling!

COVER OF THE WEEK

In this special new story from star Jeff team Kelly Thompson and Gurihiru, Jeff the Land Shark learns the meaning of courage from THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR! Plus, the latest season of IT’S JEFF appears in print for the very first time so you can enjoy all the adorableness and chaos the way Daredevil himself would – without a phone screen!!! Don’t miss what happens when Jeff wins the lottery, goes to the groomer, and best of all‚ TAKES ON THE HULK!

This is hilarious. Why could Daredevil and Jeff possibly need to team up. I guess if you need to know, might as well grab this cover. It would not surprise me if this cover out performs every other book in this article at the end of the day. It’s hard to not to love a Jaws homage…And that’s why this is the Dirty D Cover-of-the-Week!

I’m sure this will be a popular cover amongst Steven’s fans. Art is circa 1984.

READ IT

Three mysterious new Omega-charged fighters have entered the tournament…and this trinity of the Absolute will change the face of the DCU forever! It’s all down to how far the final four are willing to go to win in the penultimate chapter of DC K.O.! Plus: Booster’s true allegiance revealed, Darkseid’s return foretold, and a bonkers last page that will bring the battle to the next level!

Not technically bringing the Absolute Universe into DC main continuity…it’s the closest thing right now. Could be cool…or could be totally lame. I guess the last page will decide! We due know the absolute universe tends to not hold punches…

Introducing Gotham’s most eligible bachelorettes…for at least a little while longer! First, there’s Catwoman, who’s been playing cat and mouse with her two favorite boy toys–Bruce Wayne and the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Next up? Harley Quinn, who’s recently single and now committed only to her hot girl era. Of course, there’s also Poison Ivy, who just wants to enjoy her solitude…as long as her best friend Harley’s there to enjoy it with her. And then there’s the new girl, Black Canary, who’s engaged to the love of her life, Green Arrow–but the closer they get to the wedding day, the more it feels like they might not be so written in the stars after all. But these four fabulous women aren’t meeting to discuss any of that. At least, not willingly. There’s a killer on the loose in Gotham City–a killer of women. And when Black Canary realizes stopping the murders requires more criminal company than she’s used to keeping, she finds herself reluctantly teaming up with the infamous Gotham City Sirens for the hunt. Easier said than done when the four of them can barely make it through one lousy brunch… Fan-favorite writer Tini Howard (Catwoman, Harley Quinn) teams with superstar artist Babs Tarr (Batgirl) to bring you the sexiest and most scintillating DC Black Label series yet!

I don’t think I’ve seen this side of Babs Tarr before…interesting style. Although Siren’s has not been the most popular book in the past, under the DC Black Label could make this interesting…

NOTABLE REPRINTS

There are several 2nd print covers for this issue out, both regular and foils. And I think the foils don’t have the trade dress. Although the Jock cover is pretty cool, I’m not sure how it would look in foil. I’ve also seen A LOT of these still on some racks at comic shops. So just know there are a lot of options for the 2nd print.

Also, issue #14 also has 2nd prints on FOC this week.

I think a hard cover edition of this book just came out in November…but if that was too rich for your blood, you can spend $10 on this facsimile foil edition (or $8 on the regular facsimile).

Just when you thought they were done reprinting this book…they decide they hadn’t done a foil stamped cover yet…And a Glow-in-the-Dark

ONE AND DONE

The experience of briefly becoming Medusa in order to save Gateway City changed Diana. It haunts her, and she has never stopped seeking an answer from the gods. Her pleas to Athena have gone unanswered…until now. If she wants justice, the mission is deadly and uncertain. Is it worth the risk just to set right one injustice?

POTENTIAL FIRST APPEARANCES

The era of space/earth Spider-Men comes to an end and everyone is left to pick up the pieces. We are about to enter DEATH SPIRAL so Spidey better take a deep, deep breath.

We know Spider-Carnage is coming, but probably will Debut in ASM #1000. But this book comes out before Death Spiral #1 (the following week). So it could end up having a last page cameo that’s relevant…or it could be nothing.

SPECIAL 325th ANNIVERSARY ISSUE!

Two all-new Joes make their FIRST APPEARANCE as Duke and Roadblock lead a dangerous cover op into Borovia.

I believe these are two new characters to GI Joe, not just the Image Universe. The cover isn’t the best art we’ve seen, but does feature the two characters.

LAURA KINNEY was brainwashed and trained from birth to be the ultimate assassin as X-23. She’s long put that life behind her, but it seems she hasn’t quite outrun it yet! When LAURA and GABBY encounter someone who seems to be their LONG-LOST FRIEND, the harrowing plot they uncover will turn their worlds upside down. The next generation of X-subjects is here, and they follow in the deadly footsteps of X-23! Featuring a host of new heroes and villains,Generation X-23 have a surprise in store for the WOLVERINE!

It seems this series will introduce new characters…so one would assume some would appear in the first issue…I believe they are shown in the background shadows on this cover.

INDY SPOTLIGHT

Amp Comics is proud to present an exciting new supernatural/fantasy series from multi-talented writer/artist K Lynn Smith. Kicking off with the first of three double-sized issues. Sawyer Ellis takes a job at the mysterious gothic mansion, the House of Lowther, believing it’s just an ordinary janitorial job. But as she settles into her new role, she quickly realizes the place is not only stuck in the past but saturated in the supernatural. She might be a little over her head…

Seems to be some buzz around this. So will highlight it here.

PICK of the WEEK

The zombies won–and ten years after the fall of humanity, they’re the dominant form of life (or not-life) on Earth. They’ve developed their own cultural practices, their own language, their own society. Mouse-Pokes-Golf-Ball-Through-Hole-In-Head (Poke for short) is a beloved member of his community, and with his brother-in-arm Mush, he’s happy to shamble along through the only world he can remember…until the day his heart mysteriously starts beating again. And in a blink, the first humans he sees have stopped looking like food and have started looking like…friends…? The team behind 20th Century Men, the bold mission statement that launched writer Deniz Camp and artist Stipan Morian to the next level of the comics industry, has reunited to bring you a world ruled by ruthless kill-or-be-killed logic, pitted against the demands of a single beating, bleeding, emotional heart!

Deniz Camp is making a name for himself with Associated Crisis Events and Absolute Martian Manhunter. Both are considered some of the best reads in 2025 into 2026. He has a very odd style of story telling that people are gravitating towards, so there’s no reason to believe this odd book won’t continue that trend…and may actually fly under the radar. And…zombies! And that is why this book is the Dirty D Pick-of-the-Week!

DREK of the WEEK

Fool us once, shame on you.

Will anyone trust that Marvel has this blind back shipping thing resolved when it’s the distributors that were likely at fault for the Ultimate End Game blind back debacle? Even thought so many were damaged, I think the worst part was that you bought the blind bag for an exclusive cover, only for some to be a BLANK cover…who’s brilliant idea was that kick in the balls prize?

I feel like the blind bag comic trend has already jumped the shark…the only saving grace is that it’s a $5.99 cover price.

I suspect a LOT less bags will be ordered…plus there are already so many variant covers outside of just the blind bags…For all these reasons this is the Dirty D Drek-of-the-Week.

DIS-HONORABLE MENTION:

The Blind Bag contains two limited editions of the issue selected randomly from a range of variant covers exclusive to this offering — including a new original cover, colored blanks, and more! Please Note: The number of Blind Bags is limited, and allocations may occur.

For $15.99 you get…2 comics…and it’s hard to know how “limited” of editions they are. One (or more) may even been a colored blank. And on top of it all they throw the “allocation” word in there to stoke any FOMO that people may be feeling…Dynamite variants aren’t really known for value…so buyer beware.

Parting Thoughts

THE END OF THE LINE! This is it, folks – the last you’ll see of Spidey and his Ultimate friends by Jonathan Hickman Marco Checchetto! That’s all we can tell you!

Do we really think they’ll kill off Peter in the Ultimate Universe…? Well, they did it before…will we see the real “Next Miles” in this book…? I guess Marvel is going to pull a Costanza here…

And on That Note…

Have a great week, everybody!
