Every week, tons of new books hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery this Wednesday
What is up Wednesday Warriors? Past couple of weeks had some surprise hits early on, and some sneaky ones that came up after, but this week it is all on display. If you are a member of the Forum, you would know about these hot books well in advance. Anyway, not one but four must grab picks of the week, some killer new series, and some great looking covers. Check out what is on tap:

New Series
Exploit #1 – Don’t bury the lede. Bury your enemies. Kirby Kuo might be late to her true purpose in life–but no one would call the 30-something journalism intern out of time. When she uncovers a shocking secret about tech billionaire Cole Saxon, Kirby does what she has always wanted to do and publishes it. But the violence and vengeance that follows is like nothing she could have anticipated–pitting Kirby, her agoraphobic roommate, and the writing staff of the defunct magazine RIOT! to bring justice to a world where the rich get what they want without consequence. Exploit is a timely, biting satire of the state of the American tech oligarchy with a pop-punk edge.
Lands Unknown The Skinless Man #1 – A stormy night in the mountains forces a lone traveler to take shelter in a witch’s house, where the witch spins a yarn of the mysterious and merciless Skinless Man who is in pursuit of new skin at any cost, and the gang of warlocks who were foolish enough to try to deceive him. “The Skinless Man” marks Stenbeck’s first story in the horror-fantasy Lands Unknown universe, co-created with Hellboy’s Mike Mignola.
Star Wars Shadow Of Maul #1 – I will pretty much pick up any Star Wars book with Darth Maul.

Others might call him Batman’s best friend. Everyone calls him the Joker.
