Comics Picks of the week for delivery 4/22/15

Each week hundreds of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. Some live up to that potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shop at heating up. Here are our picks for delivery this Wednesday 4/22/15.
The Book you should be reading:
Roman Ritual #4– Seriously, the best horror mini-series in a long time. Over-the-top creepy book. If you like horror, do yourself a favor and check it out. The pope is possessed and it is up to one exiled priest to save not only the pontiff, but the whole Catholic Church. It is put out by Amigo Comics, so it does not have a huge print run. Hate to see it end but cannot wait for the ending of the story.
The New Image #1:
Kaptara #1– Chip Zdarsky is one of the funniest people I have ever met. Half of Sex Criminals are stories that have actually happened to him, which is odd because he isn’t writing that book. Anyway, new Chip Zdarsky is a can’t miss.
The Pick of the Week:
Drones #1– Two former predator drone operators face insurgency and insanity on the Las Vegas Strip in the surreal surroundings of the world’s first terrorism-themed hotel! Odd ball book, seems easy to adapt into a movie or tv show. Just a totally cool sounding book. Plus IDW doesn’t have huge print runs.
Don’t forget that G.I. Joe #213 comes out this week, the second chapter of the death of Snake Eyes. Sure to be a sell out.
That is it for us this weeks, let us know what you are spec-ing on.(Finally a small week for me, I can concentrate on picking up more back issues.)

  1. Anyone picking up Metal Locus #1 or Infinite Loop #1 ?
    Also, don’t forget that 2nd print of Chrononauts # 1. 🙂

        1. I’m holding out until all of them are released and I can get them in the dollar bin or cheap TPB 😉

  2. I’ll likely skim both Metal Locus and Infinite Loop. I always pick up more than my definite pull list but this week is gonna be on the lighter side again, so my wallet will be happy.
