Batman #40 sold out and going to a second print

No surprise that in advance of release, Batman #40 is sold out and going back for a second printing.
In stores 5/13/15, the second print was announced before Batman #40 hit the shelves. This is all in advance of any news story hitting the major sources. This will surly send non-comic fans looking for the Death of Batman story.

    1. I’m buying what I can, regular, movie (already secured 4 copies from Midtown last week along with two regulars).. hoping to land a variant at a reasonable price though.

      1. How many variants are there? I saw a combo pack was delayed. What’s the 1:25 going for?

        1. Midtown had theirs at $25, seems one shop in my area bumped theirs to $60. So it’s gonna vary from location to location.

      2. My LCS had about 20 copies, and all were in terrible shape. They had 1:25 for $57. Heroes has plenty of regulars, and 1:25 for $50. At least they did when I called up there a bit ago.

      3. Do you think 20 bucks is reasonable? My local comic shop is holding one for me at that price.

        1. For the 1:25 variant? If so, I would pay 20 bucks for it. And if you don’t want it at 20 bucks, buy it anyways and I’ll buy it from you for $30 🙂

            1. Maybe, I was just trying to point out that $20 is a good price and I’d be willing to spend $30 if they got it at $20. I need to go see if there are any newsstand editions available as well. Do bookstores and other places usually put out the day after they’re released?

      1. Midtown listed their next weeks earlier and it refreshed instantly as sold out for Batman #40 Combo.. it was likely sold out before the listings went up.

  6. MOST ANNOYING DAY EVER …Most stores were limit 1 cover reguardless of cover …till i hit my honey hole woooot wooot the flood gates opened lol

  7. Was waiting at the LCS when they opened, got 2 of each variant and 1 just regular cover because of how damn awful it is. Probably slab all of them if the hype hits hard

  8. i made SURE to pre order 10 of these 2 weeks ago when i read spoilers on a spanish website, and now stores have them 1 per customer, i also pre ordered 5 of the combo pack, which shocked the guy working at my locals… they havent come in yet, but when they do, ill be happier than ever before

    1. Not yet but I’ve read enough spoilers and heard enough from one shop owner to know I am not too keen on the replacement coming.. the picture of the new Batman suit, first thing that came to mind was it’s Chappie.


    2. It’s the antenna’s I think on the head.. that new Batman suit just looks silly to me!
