Mayday from Black Mask Comics to be a TV show

According to the Hollywood Reporter who had the exclusive, Imperative Entertainment plans to adapt the comic book into a tv show.

Imperative Entertainment, the company run by Heroes creator Tim Kring as well as Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Zak Kadison, has optioned the rights to Mayday, the new comic book from Black Mask Studios.
The company intends to apadpt the material for a scripted TV series.
The Imperative principals will executive produce the series, along with Brett Gurewitz and Matt Pizzolo of Black Mask.

Copies of Mayday #1 can be found cheap on eBay. Most other online sellers are sold out.

  1. Honestly the word “optioned” means very little to me today. I’m still waiting on more news of Mind MGMT, Rat Queens, Todd the Ugliest Kid on Earth, Deep State, and Peter Panzerfaust since those have been optioned a while ago

    1. Even if it’s cast, filmed and then edited doesn’t even mean it’ll ever reach the theater or our TV screen. My wife worked on a movie almost 4 years ago that’s been pretty much shelved this whole time.
