From CBR :
BOOM! Studios breakout series “Lumberjanes” may soon be setting up camp on the big screen, with The Wrap reporting Friday that a film is in motion at 20th Century Fox, with writer Will Widger hired to pen the script.
“Lumberjanes,” set at a summer camp filled with supernatural occurrences, debuted in April 2014, the creation of Shannon Watters, Noelle Stevenson, Grace Ellis and Brooke Allen. The comic soon gained positive attention from the industry, attracting a dedicated fanbase due to its all-ages approach and female cast and creative team, plus critical acclaim including the No. 6 spot on CBR’s Top 100 Comics of 2014.
Widger landed notice in Hollywood for his screenplay “The Munchkin,” which landed him on the 2014 Black List, a survey of well-liked but unproduced scripts. “Lumberjanes” marks the latest extension of BOOM! Studios’ first-look film and TV deal with 20th Century Fox, and BOOM! execs Ross Richie, Stephen Christy and Adam Yoelin are on board as producers of the film.
I know this is technically aimed at teenagers but does anyone have an opinion on a giving this to a semi sheltered 11 year old? It’s usually described as an all ages book and I think it’s harmless but I wanted to double check. I thought my daughter would really like it and I wanted to get her the trade.
Look through it first. I don’t think anything is offensive in there. but I would doublecheck

I’ve been reading it sporadically months I don’t sell out to customers, and It’s read, the months I could get a copy, like a great book for an 11 year old, sheltered or otherwise. I keep copies in my kids section (12 and under) and I’ve had no complaints. It’s a lot less visually or verbally offensive than anything either of the big two are putting out.
Ok, thanks for that! It seems like something she would really like. She’s not overly sheltered, but we’re careful.
Awesome news, I’ve been collecting this series from the beginning because I enjoyed the art and saw it’s potential. I also have a couple issues signed by Noelle Stevenson, who was really cool and friendly to her fans.
