Well, another Wednesday is almost upon us and that means new comics. Each week tons of new books come out, each week we look through them and give our picks on what could heat up.
1. Hawken Melee – This one I think will be the surprise of the week. Already sold out, small publisher, and based on a popular on-line video game. Cross over books have done ok lately.
2. Elephant Man #52– I know this is an odd one. Elephant Man does have it’s following, but that is not the reason why this one is a pick, it is because it has the preview for the upcoming Jonathan Ross and Ian Churchill’s ‘Revenger.’ The upcoming series gets a flip cover on this book and might be worth checking out.
3. Hinterkind #3– This series is just starting to hit it’s stride. As always, early issues of series are sought after. This book seems to have the staying power that would keep it looked after later.
4. Grindhouse: Doors Open at Midnight #3– My new favorite series. Dark Horse has been going past “mature” and into adult with books like this and Clown Fatale. These trashy pulp books have been selling well.
