Walking Dead's Steven Yeun and Felicia Day to do voices on Chew

Hollywood reporter have a story about ‘Chew’ which has been in development for a TV show in different formats for a while. Casting news is always good, especially when it is big names, and I feel Steven Yeun, Glen on ‘The Walking Dead’, fits the bill.

Walking Dead star Steven Yeun and Felicia Day, the creator of web series The Guild, are voice-starring in Chew, the animated feature adaptation of the popular comic from Image Comics. Jeff Krelitz, who helmed the animated Torchwood: Web of Lies and Peter Panzerfaust, is directing the project, which has a script by Chew co-creator John Layman.

Chew #1 is off it’s highs but still command good money. Chew on eBay hoping for price gains with the announcement news.

  1. I think the Chew concept is too good for ‘just’ an Animated series.
I think, if done right, Chew could be as successful as say Dexter, or at the very worst that Pushing Daisy’s series a few years back, even though it only lasted a couple of season’s.
Tony Chu is too cool for Animation!
Which actor today could pull off the swag of the Tony Chu character?
My pick would be: Agent Chu from the Mentalist series. He cracks me up. So serious, but yet his straight-faced humor is great.
    Anybody else?
