Entertainment Weekly spotlights C.O.W.L #1

Entertainment Weekly has spotlighted C.O.W.L #1. The book just dropped this week and is seeing some heat.

The book has been selling for up to 2x cover already. Entertainment Weekly gave praise to the book and stated “welcome to your new comic book addiction.”
They also talked about the potential for a TV show based off the super-hero noir book:

As we gear up for a Fall TV season filled with superheroes and shows based on comic books, a lot of people (myself included) have been waiting for the next big TV series to explode from the comic book publisher Image Comics — publisher of The Walking Dead, which first made the transition to the small screen in 2010. In C.O.W.L., I believe we have the next best contender.

The book has sold out and is going to a second printing.

  1. Maybe I’ll give it another go with #2 but I just wasn’t that into it. I just wasn’t feeling it to be honest. Trees was definitely better but not as high as my expectations were putting it and I usually have low expectations on everything starting out so I’m not too disappointed if they end up sucking..

  2. Nothing really interested me last week. I only went to get Southern Bastards 2, and my shop was shorted. Last week was the first in a while I didn’t get at least one book.
