Ryan Brownes comedy superhero series, God Hates Astronauts drops next Wednesday from Image Comics. It looks like it is going to be sold out before the release on 9/3/14.
Many online retailers have already sold out as well, TFAW has copies of God Hates Astronauts $2.80, below the cover price of $3.50. Midtown comics heas been sold out of this one for weeks.
The reported early numbers on the print run are coming in around 15,000 +/-, which is low for an Image #1 release. This could be one set to pop.
It also does not have a ton of covers. There are two regular covers, an A by Ryan Browne, series creator, and a B from artist and legend Geof Darrow. There are two exclusives that I have heard of so far, the Phantom Variant featuring an homage to Youngblood (which shows the series sense of humor) and an Acme Comics variant featuring an homage to Chew #1
I have had a chance to read the first issue, reviews coming this week. It will definitely hit the humor audience, the Todd The Ugliest boy crowd will appreciate it.

Todd the ugliest kid on earth… damn I miss that comic. What ever happened to it and the TV show?
The book is on hiatus. The cartoon tv show is still in the works but these things can take forever.
FYI. The B cover by Geoff Darrow is now sold out on tfaw but they still have cover a by Ryan Browne. They seem to be going pretty fast.
If Red Bull gives you wings, Ryan’s GHA gives you hallucinogenic Horn Toad venom!
I really like the Acme Comics Variant cover with the Chew homage. It’s only $3.50 on their website too which is very nice
Not too sure if any will surface, yet keep an eye out for a extremely limited print (Possibly 100) of a GHA Convention Preview.
waiting for mine. Did you get yours?
Should be on its way to sunny Florida for grading.
Witnessed on that sketch?
Yes indeed!
Only 15 left of cover A on tfaw.com
Gonna go crazy on GHA! Only discovered the web series a few days ago (shame on me), and I’m totally tripping out on it 😀
It is friking hilarious.
I agree, I really enjoyed the earlier GHA work by Ryan but this tops it. I’m not sure if I’m rooting for war in the next issue or…
Totally looking forward to this series..
