As a comic book historian I love keeping track of stats.
So I thought it would be interesting to keep a solid log of every single comic that goes up in value.
This calendar is a log of every comic that suddenly becomes hotter and jumps in value with an actual date.
This list should be continually updated and I hope others will add any comics that I may have missed.
Over a period of time we can look for trends and make interesting comparisons

  1. When a Enormous Phantom CGC 9.8 sells for $450 on eBay, I think we have a winner. If it was a competition that is. Standard cover B CGC went for $145.

          1. I was late to the game, I have 1-3 and then 15 and up. I plan to make a complete set but actually figured I might wait until it comes to a closure, seems some cool off after they finish so picking up the issues 4-14 might be nicer on my wallet (well, I can only hope). 🙂

  3. Did he cancel attending WW Austin this year? I saw him listed a while back but hadn’t seen it lately. A largely growing trend with WW is creators walking away from getting tables. He’s out, I’m skipping it too!

    1. I haven’t kept up with the artists so far this year, usually check them out a few weeks out. Maybe he’s out cause of his new family addition at the end of July, babies like lots of attention.
      He was one of the primary reasons I went last year and to get the Walking Dead covers he did for it.

  4. Can’t believe Face Value #1 has gone up that much. It’s already a $20 book. Anyone getting the 3D covers, I’m only getting two.

    1. I’m not budging on the 3D covers this round. I spent too much time/money/resources trying to get the ones I wanted last round only to find out most shops had most of the covers available weeks later.

                1. It’s possibly on the verge but something keeps me buying it each month. If I have to cut one from the pull list, it could be one of them that doesn’t make it.

  5. Pretty disciplined week for myself. Passed on all the #1’s with the exception of GHA.
    Then kept up with Nailbiter, Woods, and Southern Bastards. Loving those titles, especially Sputhern Bastards. That book and issue #4 is soo good!

      1. My wife sees the stack when I get home. Her only concern is, “your reading all of those aren’t you?” And yes, I read everything I buy. If I don’t plan to read it, I don’t buy it.

          1. I never even picked it up from the beginning.
            Heh, someone should start the blog ComicsCoolingOff where people talk about the issues they’re currently dropping.. 🙂

      2. Still on the fence w Wilds End. I’ve got 2 virgin covers and 5 regs on the way, but I’m seeing many more of them available at this point than at this point than w titles like Brass Sun, Wool and Enormous. Midtown seems to have tons available to order for next week. Don’t know how good they’ll be on the quick flip.

  12. Got my Face Value at Graham Crackers. Not sure if they are sold out. Anyone know if they are planning any more Haunted issues beyond #4?
