Dark Matter comic acquired by SyFy

The 2012 Dark Horse Series ‘Dark Matter’ has been acquired by Syfy for a show which will air in 2015.
Deadline has reported the comic Dark Matter was picked up by Syfy to air next year.
While a lot of comics have been picked up for movie and show deals and never make it to air, this one is already slated for air.

Dark Matter is a refreshing and entertaining space opera that blends an intriguing premise with fast-paced suspense. It will be a terrific addition to our prime time schedule next year”, said Chris Regina, SVP programming, Syfy.
Deadline reports that the show will be 1 hour long episodes. and the story is described as

It centers on the crew of a derelict spaceship who is awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal and hidden secrets.

The series was writted by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, who also wrote for Stargate. They are producing the show as well.
Copies of Dark Matter can be found on eBay cheap, with sets as low as under $8.

  1. Good thing I got this set for 6 bucks a couple days ago. TFAW has all issues except for issue #1 for 40% off. Those should go up a bit.
