Comics Picks of the Week for Delivery 11/5/14

Each week, hundreds of new comics hit the shelves. Each have potential, some live up to the potential. We pick the ones we feel have the best shot at heating up. Here are our Picks of the Week for 11/5/14:
Lets get right to it….
The pick of the week:
Humans #1– No way to pass this one up. The #0 issue still sells for $20, once those clear out the #0 issue could shoot up. With the heat the #0 brought, there is no way people are going to skip over the new #1 from Image.
And speaking of new Image #1’s
The new Image #1:
Tooth & Claw #1– Image keeps pouring out new series and I keep trying them, so do many other people. Many I have grown very fond of to the point where Image series are my primary buys each month. This one is by MARVELS and ASTRO CITY writer KURT BUSIEK and has been described as Conan meets Game of Thrones meets Kamandi. Love it.
The returning favorites:
Birthright #2– The first issue was awesome and cannot wait to see where this is going. I am not the only one since this was on TFAW’s Top 20 as #1
Spread #4– Justin and Kyle’s kick-ass series continues. Each issue drags your further into the world they are creating. It is truly an awesome book.
Men of Wrath #2– Another hit from Jason Aaron. He does gritty violent books well.
The outside chance:
Zoohunters #1 Aspen Studios new offering. There IS life on other planets-THEY find it. Abros Kel is a ZooHunter-a man who is hired to capture animals for zoos on alien worlds. He and his young son Ty have lost everything due to a tragedy, and together this uncomfortable pair set out into the stars to train Ty as a ZooHunter. Along the way they encounter scores of…
That’s it for us this week, let us know what you are spec-ing on.

      1. Yeah when my cellphone open the page, it dropped to Tooth & Claw so that it looked like your first pick. I commented and scrolled back up and d’oh!

  1. I’ve actually been trying to post my pickups on the open forum posts and if I think I’m missing any, I’ll load up the site on the phone to view my comment to make sure I’m not missing anything I meant to grab. 🙂

      1. Not that odd, the bigger pickup weeks I’ve walked out of the store only to realize I missed an issue I meant to pickup. Loading up the site and viewing my post of my weeks pickups allows me to not to miss something I intend to grab while also reviewing the other picks of the weeks of potentials. 🙂

          1. Ah, I meant “trying” as in, trying to post my picks before I tackle the local shops. Ever since that Akismet fix, I’ve had no issues posting nowadays. 🙂

  2. My spec of the week is ASM #9.. With Gwen making 2nd appearance.
My other spec is Terrible Lizard from Oni. I think it’s gonna be sought after those that picked up Super Dinosaur which pretty much ended without an ending (made my 8 year old mad too). I anticipate small print runs for this one, with so many others coming out this week, it’ll get overlooked.
