The cult favorite Riley Rossmo and A.J. Lieberman golden age sized comic book, Cowboy Ninja Viking, was optioned for a film a long while back. But recent news of Chris Pratt, star of Guardians of the Galaxy, has brought it back in the forefront of comic spec news again.
Deadline is reporting that Guardians star Chris Pratt is being looked at to play the lead character in the movie.
Chris Pratt has been offered everything since Guardians Of The Galaxy. Let’s keep our eyes on Cowboy Ninja Viking, Universal’s adaptation of the graphic novel. Not sure which of the three he’ll play, but Pratt has been circling the picture for some time, and now I hear things are starting to move. Actually, he plays all three in writer A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel about a highly trained assassin – suffering from multiple personality disorder.
Copies of Cowboy Ninja Viking shot up in price after the announcement. The book was pretty hard to find to begin with as stores ted to shy away from the larger sized comics. Definitely worth keeping an eye on this one
