Justin Jordan's Deep State sold for TV

Justin Jordan’s new series, Deep State <has been sold to Twentieth Century Fox TV according to Deadline

Deadline reported today that Deep State was one of two projects from Boom Studios that was sold as part of Twentieth Century Fox TV’s first look deal. The first issue of Deep State was released on 11/12/14 and can still be found at TFAW for less than cover price. looks like they sold out and are on back order. Mycomicshop has them for cover.

Deep State, based on the comic book series created and written by Justin Jordan and drawn by Ariela Kristantina, is a collaboration with Gordon’s 20th TV-based Teakwood Lane. Written by Anna Fricke (Being Human), the drama centers on curious and driven FBI agent Katherine Branch recruited by a shadowy branch of the government known as Control where she discovers its role in promoting pAnna Frickeopular conspiracy theories to distract from fantastical happenings and unexplained events. Partnered with mysterious Control agent John Harrow, Branch finds out how far Control goes to cover up the truth and how much their own lives are at stake. Teamwood Lane’s Gordon and and Hugh Fitzpatrick also executive produce. Last season, BOOM! and Gordon teamed to adapt comic book Unthinkable, also as a drama for Fox.

  1. Awesome! Huge congrats to Justin on this one. He’s a writing machine. I can see this one getting really big due to the story line and it being a new continuing series compared to a dollar bin series long forgotten about like many series attached to announcements.

    1. Yeah, I’m not surprised at this announcement either. It has show/movie written all over it. It would certainly draw out the X-Files and MIB fans.
