Diamond Comics Advance Reorder List for 1/12/15

The Diamond Comics Advance Reorder List is a great speculator tool. It shows what books retailers are going back to get more of, in advance of their release. They are actually putting their money up betting these books get big. These are the books people are talking about in shops, message boards, and websites. Here is the Diamond Comics Advance reorder List for 1/12/15.
Some weeks, the list is better than others. This weeks is a really good list. Look for a sell out on SILK #1 and SPIDER-GWEN #1. DYING AND THE DEAD #1 ranks really high, surprisingly high considering it is a $4.50 book.

  1. The Dying and the Dead is just a one time cover of $4.50 right? It’s an over sized issue? I’ve been really on the fence of trade waiting/getting the monthlies. I’m still not sure what to do. If my local shop is sold out….it will make the decision very easy.

      1. It looks like the first book is over sized (48 pages) for $4.50 and all future books will be $3.50. I don’t mind them charging a little more if the issue is over sized. I like the over sized first issues. Gives them a lot more room to tell the story instead of cramming in as much as they possibly can in a rushed mess.

    1. There are going to be plenty of copies available of this. Hickman is too well known for his stuff to get passed up. You shop may sell out but it’s gonna be a few weeks later if they do (unless they under order on crap that’s gonna sell well) 😉

  2. My shop is a smaller newer place. So far it looks like they’re getting shorterd on a regular basis. I don’t know how Diamond decides who gets what when books are going to sell out but it seems like the smaller shops end up missing out. We’ll see….if they have it in stock I’ll probably pick up the first issue to give it a try.

  3. Spider-Gwen and Silk are going to be red hot. I’ll be looking to sell my full set of edge of spiderverse with a copy of #1 when it releases. Glad I picked up Amazing Spider-Man #4 variant for $15 when I had the chance. It just sold for over thirty on eBay. I’m still wondering if I should sell all my edge of spiderverse 2s quickly or wait it out for the long haul. Kinda scared of an extreme price drop if #1 is terrible.

    1. I think with all the hype around Spider-Gwen, Silk is going to get overlooked by a lot of people and honestly, I like her potential best, probably since she’s from the same Earth as our Peter Parker and Spider-Man and not some multiverse, etc, just to bring someone back to life who’s suppose to be dead. 😉
I just sold an EOSV #2 for $40. I got two others I’m hanging onto (not including the mangled one I let go to the kids — don’t worry, it came in bad shape originally so the kids didn’t do anything new too it except add a few more spine creases and folds on it… )
If you got multiple ones at cover, sell some to make quick profit now, maybe keep a few to sell later at higher profit. If they drop dramatically, at least with the first round of sales, you made your money back and probably plus some.

I literally gasped then felt relief by the end of that sentence. I’ll do just that. I’ve got 4 copies of #2 and 3 full sets. I’ll keep one full set for sure for the completionist in me. I gotta say though, #2 wasn’t all that interesting of a read to me. Issue #4 was much more interesting. And it was super dark and creepy.
I also have EoSV #2 fourth print pre-ordered. I just hope they have a new cover.

      1. Yeah, I sold one. Got another one if it heats up and I got the copy I plan to keep in the collection. Anyone want to make an offer on the beat up one? I have a bunch of 3rd prints to sell when the time is right.
