Enormous optioned for Tv show

Grab your Enormous #1‘s and get ready. 20th Century Fox has optioned Enormous for a TV show.
Deadline broke the story as an exclusive.

20th Century Fox Television and New Regency Television are teaming with Prime Universe Films to develop an event series based on the action/horror comic book Enormous from publisher 215 Ink. Andrew Poltkin of New Regency TV and Prime Universeโ€™s Adrian Askarieh will serve as executive producers for the series. The search is on for a showrunner.

Also looks like those Enormous #6 Comicsheatingup.net variants I got back in the mail yesterday, and have about 20 sets left, just got more valuable as they are one of the smallest print run variants in the series.

  1. This happened. Tony calls, informs me of the news. I scream “F— YEAH!!” Right in the middle of a store. Huge congrats to the Enormous team. Very well deserved!

  2. Damn, I had my doubts but as someone with a few prints of #1 I’m looking forward to this! I also bought a commisioned work from the artist so looking forward to getting that

      1. Strange, comicspriceguide.com actually has the Green Phantom and B&W listed as more valuable. But yeah, I’m pretty sure these were second prints, they make no mention of that on their site.

    1. I think there’s only one official #1 second printing. I thought the Kaiju Green and B&W where second print variants but I might be wrong.

        1. That’s what I thought. Comicspriceguide.com is completely wrong and I’m not sure how they list their prices but those are wrong too.
I do like that site though for checking what the covers look like and the different variants. Need to get them to list the #6 CHU variants. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. These books were so hard for me to find, never got a regular A or B #1, only hastings. ah well, good job on staying on top of this one Tony!

        1. I am not currently parting with any complete sets Nicc the ones I was selling was 1-4 all variants. Now they are 1-6 with all variants. They would probably be way more. However someone did sell just yesterday a complete 1-4 set for $54 on eBay. Face palm for that guy I bet.

  4. I’d personally be looking at #1 cover A and the #1 Phantom first print as the keys of the series. Well, tied to the comicsheatingup.net variants of course!

    1. The Hastings might be a good one to seek as well. With so many being man handled by Hastings personal and crappy mailing service, these might be harder to come by in NM+ conditions.

        1. Must of been nice. The nearest Hastings for me is about 45 minutes south, which is not worth the trip. I was lucky enough to order 2 online and they came in excellent condition. ๐Ÿ™‚

            1. Half Price is mostly miss. If you do find something, there’s a good chance its beat to hell in most cases. I’ve lucked out a few times though, biggest winner was Batman New 52 #2-7. I’m sure if there was a #1, it was gone quickly.

      1. The nearest Hastings to me is 45 minutes north. But I always call ahead before I go to make sure I’m not wasting a trip!
I found an Action Comics #521 at Half Price Books for $1.00! Looking at the cover, I figured it was in F-/VG condition. Then I opened it. About halfway through, the entire book was ripped right through the middle. At least it was only $1.00.

  5. You also have the comic exposure #4 nycc variants there are 2 for it. You got the 2 variants b&w and comicsheating up variants for 6. Comicconart had variants for 6 but they were to glossy so they got pushed back to issue 7 (I emailed them last night ingot 15 coming to me) and comicconart has 2 differnt variant set covers a and b coming out for 7-12. Phantom had an issue 1 and then the second printing called kaiju edition for 1 reg and b&w variants. Hastings also had a #1 variant I think thats it. And every isssue has a cover a and b. Issues 3 had a problem and the cover b was harder to get because of a mix up from diamond. I really like the comic so I got them all ill post pics up on my instagram tonight if you want to see them all. Hope it helps you out.

  6. I bought one thru Jetpack a while ago. Then condition of mine wasn’t very good, it doesn’t say anything about condition when you buy, just a warning…

      1. Just thought I’d come back and say I got the comic today and it’s in great condition. I didn’t even realize I picked up the other variant from Jetpack as well, through Amazon. I was satisfied with both purchases.

  7. I’m so excited for this news!!
Got every copy (all variants including NYCC) of #1 with only a couple random extras. Hastings are hand picked and NM. Have 2-6 complete but only A covers except for the sick ass #6 B&W variant someone had put together (Tony is the man!). I didn’t go for the treasury because of the awkward size and stayed with 215 issues. Might come back to bite me but I’m comfortable with what I have.
I apologize if I come across as though I’m bragging. I’m just pumped because I finally went big on a book that I believed in and it hit. I wish the creative team the best of luck and hope this show kicks some tail.
Also don’t forget about the trade coming soon. I’ve already ordered my copy through DCBS and can’t wait to read it all over again in one shot. I do hope the trade brings in more readers and we see the monthly sales grow. Print runs thus far are so small that things will surely get crazy.

  8. When this series first came out it was hard for me to find the book. Specially after seeing th youtube teaser back when. It interested me even more. Good series so far and hope the tv show is as good

  9. Oh helllllls yeah. Dumped my #1’s, unfortunately. Still got the over sized Image book though. Which one do we think will be more in demand?

    1. A second print is a second print in my opinion. Same as the Creature Feature which was said to have almost identical print run. One was hyped up extremely harder than the other and people paid over $100 for a book that was $2.50 because of the print run. Either way it won’t be a great factor. Many are completists on this series and won’t part with the convention variant making it almost obsolete.
Many may spin it as an RRP, but that’s just not the case and people who are not in the know or stress print runs will be after cover A. Especially when they see “second print” on the NYCC slab.
Personally I feel each and every one of them is a home run. Each and every one of them has an extremely small print run when it comes to comic book/tv show news. For example, TWD #1 has 766 9.8’s on the CGC census. A phantom variant has an entire print run of 544. Insanely low runs all over the series. I just think most will want cover A as it’s the true #1 to the series. Also very likely to be an image used to credit where the upcoming series spawned from, outside of the treasury.

      1. Agreed. This is that sticky situation when hype plus super low print run which made it harder to get sets an automatic price not due to just demand but because it was just harder to get from the get go.

          1. Oh my, I should buy several more. You should see my 9 year old’s lizard and Godzilla drawings (he has a leopard gecko named Godzilla as well).. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. This is fantastic news. I hope it plays well on TV from a visual standpoint and gets the budget it deserves so the special effects look realistic as possible and don’t take away from an exceptional story.
