Dark Horse 'Lady Killer': Hunt, Find, Flip

Here is one to add to your list of books to search out on shop shelves and back issue bins. Dark Horse Comics Lady Lady Killer #1, by Joelle Jones and Jamie Rich.

So here is the deal about Lady Killer #1, first, it is a really good book. Very cheeky 1950’s style hit woman who is also a devoted mom and wife by day, and ruthless hitman at night. Next, really low print run, 8,431 copies for the first issue first print. The second printing will probably be small as well, and Lady Killer #2 will probably be even smaller and harder to find. As noted, the first issue has sold out and went back for a second printing. The first print cover is above, the second print is a red background cover.
CHeck your local shops to see if any are out there. I found a couple copies of Lady Killer #1 on shelves today. Lady Killer #1 is selling in the $30 range. Sets of 1 and 2 are selling for $50.

  2. I missed out on the first print, but found the second. However, if anyone feels led to send me a copy of the 1st print for cover price… Who am I to deny your benevolence?? 😉

  3. The art is absolutely amazing on this. Love it, extremely talented. Lady Killer screams TV show to me one day. I’d be very comfortable selling enough to be holding free copies on this one for a rainy day. Haven’t heard if they are going to continue or keep it a mini. That’s a big factor to motivate most sales now if it stays a mini.

      1. I absolutely love the art! It’s my favorite thing about this book. I’ve got first printings of both 1 & 2. I don’t know if I want to sell them however. $50 bucks for both books feels awful tempting however. I hope you’re right Anthony about this being an ongoing series. This one has a lot of promise.
