If you have been talking about this one while I was having tests done. So here is the write up I started.
Ray Fawkes had tweeted out the picture above showing all the variants for Descender #1. One stood out to me and a couple other people more than others. It is the one on the lower left. It is the Descender #1 Painted Visions Variant and it seems to capture the feel of the series really well.
The book is up on eBay for $9.99 and they are being scooped up fast.

Was able to snag one of them. Best cover out of the bunch… wish I had bought a few more.
Next cheapest is beach ball… guess I’m getting that one!
Austin Books had the Beach Ball variant when I swung by, I passed on it. Just didn’t stand out to me to pick up for 10 bucks. Plus the copy they had had a few spine stress marks. If I’m paying premium I want it to be a little more perfect.

I really like the one in the top, center position, but I don’t recognize the character from the first issue. Anyone have any information on either the character or where I can get the variant?
I don’t know the name of the character, but that’s the Dustin Nguyen variant (only 1500 made). There’s a black and white variant of the same cover (only 500 made). I see a few on eBay (search Descender #1 variant and all the options come up in the feed). But I agree, it’s a nice cover.
Thanks for the response, Arrowguy. I found the listings on eBay and have secured my copies of them. What I’m really wondering is what store is behind these. I see the seller’s name and figure they must run a brick and mortar where they’re located, but a Google search didn’t turn up anything for them. I’m at least familiar with the groups responsible for the other variants, but there’s really nothing out there about this guy or these variants.
