Seem like it was just yesterday that we mentioned that news of a Bloodshot movie would be forthcoming, in fact it was. Anyway, Valiant signed with Sony to bring their catalog of comics to the big screen. Bloodshot and Harbinger each will have two movies each.
The Hollywood Reporter had the exclusive:
A month after comic book publisher Valiant Entertainment revealed it had received a nine-figure investment in its movie and television development arm, the independent publisher is announcing a five-picture deal with Sony Pictures to bring two of its series, Bloodshot and Harbinger, to the big screen starting in 2017.
Hope you were able to find the early appearances of Bloodshot, who appeared in Eternal Warrior #4 briefly. His first full appearance is in Rai #0.
Valiant has been hot since the initial news of the movies.
I want an X-O Manowar movie.. but I can definitely see how our violent minds would welcome a Bloodshot movie first..
Xo manowar would be insaine.
No one wants a Magnus Robot Fighter movie?
I would love to see a dude in a mini skirt and white go go boots punching robots!
I don’t think it is possible as Valiant does not own the character. The had publishing rights in the 90’s but Dynamite has it now.
Yeah, Magnus been passed around a few times between publishers.. Same with Turok.
I really gotta dig out my rai 0’s
Bloodshot from the directors of John Wick… could be pretty cool. That movie was a bit dumb, but had great stylized action that was a lot of fun.
Gun punches. That’s all I gotta say.
I agree on john wick, thin plot but such a well made movie, I really enjoyed it. A lot of potential here with Bloodshot
What were the print runs for the 2nd prints of the NEW Bloodshot and Harbinger #1’s ? I remember they were rare.
I also stocked up on Bloodshot #6 & 7. 1st appearances of Ninjak. That new Ninjak book is really good so far & Valiant seems to be pushing it. Ninjak could absolutely show up in these Valiant movies or even get a movie himself…
Eternal 4 is the first appearance. Does anyone know if it is true that early printings of Rai 0 were glossy while later printings were not?
Haven’t heard that.
As of writing this Mile High shows they have Rai #0 in NM condition (so they say) for $8 each. If that is the case get some now because as soon as they get wind of the movie announcement they usually hike the price by many multiples. I picked up some, but last time I ordered from them the NM books I got were mostly VF to VF/NM. Of course it seems those who complain get banned so I let it go…Anyway that is a rant for another time…Just giving everyone a heads up. Even if they arrive in VF/NM, $8 each is a very good price.
FEW!! here’s my perty set I put up, found em in my old long boxes at moms!!

Moms are the best. The ones that don’t throw out your comics.
Mile High comics still has Rai #0 in NM listed at $8 each, but if you check the instant inventory feature during check out it is listed at $16. It was still $8 in that feature when I ordered. Whenever they update prices on their site this will be $16, probably after midnight central time would be my guess. IF anyone hasn’t gotten a couple and was interested, you probably should do it ASAP.
How about the Bloodshot #1’s (1993, 1997, 2012)? Didn’t really see anyone mention picking those up.
Most people will be out for first appearances, but Bloodshot #1 1993 may be a good option to get especially if the movie gets a lot of press down the line. Right now they are pretty cheap, but I think the print run was high on that one…not sure. If it is I wouldn’t overload, but if the print run is somewhat small to average it may be a good to pick up a few. Anyone know what the print run was for Bloodshot #1, 1993?
