Star Wars Celebration just happened and this years was an extra big deal with the new movie dropping this Christmas. Tamashii Nation took advantage and revealed a few new upcoming Star Wars Movie Realization items.
If you are not familiar, these are Tamashii’s redesigns of classic Star Wars figures to evoke the classic Japanese Samurai style. The first in the series, Darth Vader and Stormtrooper are set to hit the states this summer. Tamashii now plans on adding Sandtroopers and additional Stormtrooper variants (flag, battle drums ect). They are also adding an Imperial Guard to the mix. It looks like they are tweaking Darth slightly too from the drawings. Will this make the earlier versions more sought after?
The big reveal was Ronin Boba Fett. I like how they classified him as a Ronin, which is a Samurai soldier with out a master or lord. An even better take away is that this looks like it’s going to be an on going series.
I know what some might be thinking; more Star Wars crap. But you have to admit, these are tempting.
