TMNT #45 one shop had none on shelves, they all went to peoples weekly pulls, other had around 4 left.
If Outcast doesn’t do anything good, it might be getting dropped after this issue, maybe I’ll go until issue 10 to just even it out but it has not lived up to the hype at all.

Just sign and sketch. Latour drew spidergwen wearing a mask and Robbi drew her as she appeared on the cover. Off getting graded now, cannot wait for it to come back

This is going to be a $$$$ week between the Batman, Silk, FF and Spread variants. Going to be picking up multiple copies of those books where I can.

A lot of us are going to feel the pain this week hahaha. BUT the at least sometime soon hopefully the pain pays off once you see the “PAID” stamp on our eBay listings. 🙂
My list was small but with the amount of Batman books I picked up and then snagged the Silk variant at $10, along with the Enormous TPB.. yeah, I spent way more but hopefully these Batman’s pay off.
Surprisingly it seemed some were not aware of the Batman issue. One local shop the owner was keeping quiet about it, I hinted and he was telling me he’s trying not to spoil it for others. So without major media outlets yet reporting (which is surprising as well), some are still in the dark.
Batman, FF, TMNT, hopefully my LCS has some variants for all of them!

2. new avengers 33 (Wrap it up some more)
3. inhuman 14 (is this series wrapping up?)
4. superior iron man 8 (what happened to the extremis phone app story line?)
5.wolverines 16 (this series is all over the place. but ive been committed since the 3 months to live storyline)
6. batman 40 (im very skeptical about the new batman. but Snyder has earned the benefit of the doubt)
7. teenage mutant ninja turtles 45 (gotta see what happened to Donatello)
8. invincible 119 (they sucked me in with the 25 cent issue last month. good marketing strategy)
9. outcast 8 (good, but still hasn’t lived up to all the hype)
10. red one 2 (im ashamed, but whatever)
11. spread 7 (action figure variant)
12. theyre not like us 5 (surprisingly addicting series)
And I thought I would be able to have an easy week. Jokes on me lol. Thankfully I got the notification my Star Wars #4 Boba Fett Action Figure Variants were shipped. So looking forward to getting those soon. I’ve already seen CGC SS copies on eBay for $500+. Only did the 1st half of my pickups for the day so I will list my full list after the 2nd half. What I did notice from my 1st stop was by 8:30am all Spread #7 Variants, Batman #40 Variants and TMNT #45 Variants were completely gone. Midtown is usually good about splitting online stock and store stock so they definitely had some when they opened at 8am. All i saw when I got there were empty wall slots. 🙁
What I really wanted this week was the Spread variant, and just can’t get it for a reasonable price at the moment. I think I’ll only be getting a few comics. There’s too much hype this week for me to come to terms with:
1. Spread #7 (Both A+B, will get C later…)
2. They’re not like Us #5
3. Rumble #5
Batman is driving people crazy…and the prices that are going around for this issue is insane, mostly being set by the actual comic stores. It’ll be interesting to see if the prices hold. Where I usually get my DC comics, it’ll be a few weeks before they get them in (newsstands), the prices won’t be inflated (I actually get 10% off), and they usually just sit there all month til they’re sent back. I’ll grab multiple copies then if their still hot.
I listed one of my Spread #7 Action variants. I listed at $15.99 (Seems most have theirs listed at $19.99 currently) but contact me (agentpoyo), I’ll give you a better deal if you want. I have a “Make Offer” available on it. If you do, just tell me your eBay handle.

I stopped by Midtown Comics again for the 2nd time today. (Since it’s around the corner from work) There is a new limit on Batman #40. The new limit is ONE per customer of ANY cover. Meaning you get one choice. Regular cover, Movie cover or Variant. That’s a new one because they usually at least let you get one of each cover if an issue has multiple covers.
Yeah, no shop here had limits except my LCS who was limiting the movie variant to 1 per customer. He only got one of the 1:25 variant and he said it was gone before the doors were opened.
I was able to order 2 x Regular covers and 4 x Movie Variants from Midtown before they started limiting them. Just wish I had them in hand already.. I think I’ve pretty much sold the 3 Movie copies along with 3 regular copies I snagged today at the local shops. I’m willing to bet by now they’re all limited or out already.

Yes, if you are limited to Regular or the Movie, take the Movie Variant.. it’s going to move better than the regular.
Mayday #1 also sold out within the first few hours of my LCS being open. Not sure if it was because they didn’t have many or people were just that hungry for it. They usually have about 10-12 copies of Black Mask comics when they come out.
Both shops I visited had a handful, I know Midtown sold out online a few days ago. Seems they’re sold out of Mother Russia which looked interesting as well.
They did still have copies of Mother Russia in the physical store. I can go back and grab you a crispy copy if you would like. Let me know!
Oh, I was able to grab a copy myself locally. Both shops I visited had about 4-5 copies each.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the batman 1:25 variant at a good price. Only 2 stores had them and they wanted $50-60 for them and at my comic shop, one of the workers kept it so that sucked. And no luck on Silk variant I guess no one ordered enough copies to qualify for the variant. So that sucked as well. But I was able to secure 2 copies of Batman #40 reg cover and movie variant. Will keep those. How did you guys do on the Batman covers?

Had a little extra time today, so went to a shop that’s normally too out of the way for me to get to. Effort paid off. They had the Batman 40 Kubert variant for $10 and the Spread figure variant for $6. Another store had a huge stack of the Batman movie variant, but it looked like they all fell off the back of a truck.

Why is batman 404 always advertised as Frank Millers Batman or first modern appearance of catwoman, no one ever advertises it as Don Falcone s first appearance. Which it is http://batman.wikia.com/wiki/Carmine_Falcone. Don Falcone is a central character to the hit TV show Gotham however I think this book has fell through the cracks when it comes to speculating because this book already has so much going for it. With Gothams season finale next week this would be a nice cheap pickup for any fan of Gotham
