Preacher begins filming

AMC’s Preacher TV show has officially started filming.
CBR had the story:

“Preacher,” long in development as a series for AMC, has officially gone into production.
“I can’t believe we are fucking doing this,” producer/director Seth Rogen tweeted earlier today, alongside a photo of the show’s production slate, emblazoned with Glenn Fabry cover art from the DC Comics/Vertigo comic that serves as the show’s inspiration.
“Preacher,” based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s acclaimed comic, stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga as Jesse’s ex-girlfriend Tulip, Joseph Gilgun as his vampire friend Cassidy, Ian Colletti as Arseface and Lucy Griffiths as Emily, a character created for the TV show.
Rogen, his frequent collaborator Evan Goldberg and “Breaking Bad” alum Sam Catlin developed “Preacher” for AMC, based on the seminal series and with a pilot written by Catlin.

Of course, it is time to start eyeing up prices on Preacher #1, Preacher Preview, and Absolute Vertigo.

  1. I am … SO excited for this, i really really really hope they put tons of effort into this, because this could be bigger than the walking dead, so much potential and an insane story line !

  2. Currentlyrics waiting for CGC to return my Preacher #1 that I dropped off a month ago. I’m super paranoid of it getting lost in the mail!

    1. I know it happens but the last time I lost something in the mail, it actually showed up 6 months later. USPS and other carriers almost track everything now, especially if it’s a package. It’s usually only letters that get lost, anything with first class stamp or less is what is easily lost. I’ve heard stories where cards and regular mail is found between the seats months later and then delivered. 🙂
