Agent Poyo's Picks of the week for 5/20/15

Another week.. another new comic book day, the best day of each week where I show up late for work as I make my daily rounds into the local shops heading towards work, but then spend more time commenting at CHU rather than working on things I should work on (hope the boss isn’t reading this).
Anyways.. on with the picks!
Mad Max Fury Road Nux & Immortan Joe #1 (DC/Vertigo) – Mad Max is getting great reviews. I loved the originals so of course I’m gonna go see it but I’ll review it myself. So yeah, pick up this comic. There’s a hit right now and fans are sure to come out of the cracks to snag a copy of this most likely since it’s the prelude to the movie currently.
Donald Duck #1 (IDW) – Laugh all you want, I love Donald Duck. It’s Disney related so the Disney people will seek these out, now and in the future.
Star Wars #5 (Marvel) – It’s not a number 1 but I don’t know about you all but I might just have to start buying double issues of these Star Wars and Darth Vader’s. Who knows when a new key character is created, etc.. these will always sell, maybe not for premium now but there will always be Star War fans, past, present and future.
Marvel Secret Wars Tie Ins – Battleworld, Planet Hulk, Ultimate End, Spider-Verse, etc.. yes, a lot of people don’t buy Marvel but they still pay attention to what they’re doing cause anything could happen. Gotta pay attention to this Secret Wars crap to see how it all pans out in the end…

  1. Mad Max is a definite for me as well. Anybody else see the movie? Please forgive the hyperbole: but it’ll probably go down as one of my all time favorite action flicks. It’s a spectacular piece of work…

  2. FYI, looks like Midtown already sold out of Mad Max. TFAW still has them listed along with a few other online retailers but I expect these to get swooped up with all the movie hoopla..
