Batman ‘66 #23 (Actually a fun series to read, brings back memories of the original show for sure)
Suiciders #4 (A great read so far as well)
Chew #49 (Duh, look at my name!)
Invisible Republic #3 (So so good.. highly recommend if you like that sci-fi political type of story)
Outcast #9 (Still hanging on, maybe not for long though, we’ll see.. )
Pisces #2 (First one was kind of strange, I was a little lost, had to read again. Gotta pick up #2 to see if starts coming together more.. )
Postal #4 (Another great read so far.. I swear the last page sneaks up on you and then your like.. ah hell, I got to wait until the next issue to see what’s going to happen?)
They’re Not Like Us #6 (I’m not even sure how to describe this one, I just like it)
Hawkeye #3 (I’m digging it so far… )
Black Widow #18 (So so good, like Magneto, underrated Marvel title)
Infinity Gauntlet #1 (Gotta find out what’s going on in the Marvel Universe(s).. )

Mother Russia #2 (First one was interesting, the artwork did a lot of the story telling but hopefully we get more story, even in narrative form would be a nice touch)

Black Hood #4 (Dark… so good. I almost want to stop reading just to collect so I take in more all in one sitting than what we’ve been getting monthly in single issues)
I agree with your assessment of Dark Hood. I’m really liking this book.

MayDay 5x – Yall know how i love my small press books from Blackmask lol
Talking of Mayday and BlaskMask…I ordered 3 Mayday’s from their store KingsRoad..never again! No bag/board, stuffed in a flimsy cardboard envelope, with a smaller piece of cardboard (4×7) stuck in the middle (why they did this, who knows???) So, they have deep imprints of where they hugged the small piece of cardboard. I laughed with disbelief, and they’re currently shoved under a ton of books…

The Black Hood #4 Still a great book and I’m really glad I jumped on this series.
Grindhouse #5 This year has been a little weak for me. I’ll get the series for the rest of the year but if it doesn’t pick up I’ll probably drop it before next year’s run.
Postal #4 Still a solid read and I really like the main character Mark
Sons of the Devil #1 I’ve really been looking forward to this book! A little horror based around the occult? Yes please!
I’ll probably pick up Fight Club and maybe Material #1. I’m really on the fence about Material.
Can someone tell me what I am missing on black hood? I can still find 1-3 and I wanna know what’s about before I get then and maybe be disappointed. Thanks
It’s basically a gritty crime comic with a noir feel. A cop is injured (with his face disfigured) and takes the hood of a known vigilante and carries on where he left off. He’s addicted to drugs and is having a lot of personal struggles and his work as the “black hood” is his coping mechanism. I was kind of like you but my shop all of the back issues (shortly before #3 came out) and I was really glad I jumped in. I love crime comics and this one was right up my alley. I was put off at first because it was an Archie book but it’s gritty and would do just fine on Image or whatever other publisher. I highly recommend it.

Anybody else notice the difference between the preview image for the Inferno #1 cover and what ended up on the shelf? Being a red blooded male (don’t judge me) I couldn’t help but think something was different when I saw it in the shop today. Wasn’t 100% sure until I saw a story about it online.

My three local comic book stores were all shorted this week. This led to only one store actually getting Providence. There were only 5 copies sitting out.
Also, one store had two large stacks of three covers of Fight Club 2, all three covers in equal ratios and the same price while a second store had only one cover on the shelf at cover price while the other two covers were in the case at $15 each. The third store had not gotten any comics yet.
I decided that I will wait on Fight Club 2 until next week when the third store has a Fight Club 2 signing with Chuck Palahniuk and Steve Lieber. There will be a limit of two items that have to be purchased at that store. They stated today that they will have stacks of Fight Club 2 including the TFAW exclusive.
