  1. Light week for me…and I need to start offloading some stuff this week, been slacking on the flipping.

    Star Wars #6 (AF Cover)
    Mage Inc The Intern #1

    1. I nabbed a Hulk (2008) 1:50 variant for a decent price…even if the rumors are not true, still a good grab I reckon for the future.

So glad that Convergence is done.

  3. A lighter week for me hopefully.. I’ll probably buy multiples of a few of these though..

    Tooth and Claw #6
    Humans #5
    Nailbiter #13
    Armor Wars #1
    Darth Vader #6
    Groot #1
    Secret Wars #3
    Star Wars #6
    Arcadia #2
    Broken World #1
    Dead Drop #2
Oh and Black Widow.. somehow I missed it last week.

    1. It was not a light week.. I was able to snag some variants at cover. Ughh.. I’m gonna need to start listing more to sell.. this is getting ridiculous.

        1. I wish mine was that low..
I ended up finding a Divinity #3 Robert Gill Variant at cover (guess someone had it in their pull and didn’t want it). Snagged the remaining Divinity #1 3rd print. Some Secret Wars variants including the Bob Mcleod variant cover, some of the other Gwen variants they had for Secret Wars tie-ins. I bought extra GI Joes along with extra Star Wars #6 as well.. what should of cost me about $60 ended up way over..
Hi, my name is Poyo and I have a problem!

      1. Going above spending estimates is exactly why I like having Midtown as my LCS. After every $100 you spend, you get $20. Earlier I estimated my pile at around $30-35 and after giving them my member code the entire $20 got knocked off so I only paid like $10 for a good stack of about 12 comics. (this is the reasoning I use to tell myself that it’s ok I spent $100 on comics on any given day. lol)

      2. Oh man, me too. I picked up SOOOO many variants this week including the JSC Renew Your Vows. I’m hoping to cut back some next week.

  4. Justice League #41 (bulk)
    G.I. Joe #214
    Covenant #1
    Humans #5
    Nonplayer #2
    Wicked + Divine #11
    Asm: Renew Your Vows #1
    Future Imperfect #1
    Groot#1
    Star Wars #6 (bulk)
    Superior Iron Man #9
    Archie #666
    Famous Monsters: Gunsuits #1
    Broken World #1
    Dead Drop #2

  5. Has anyone “read” G.I. Joe #214 yet? It was pretty emotional for a silent issue. Seeing Timbers’ reaction to the funeral is like a Serpentor snake spear to the heart.

    1. Very slim pickings at two shops.. and one shop, all their copies had some type of damage. I haven’t read.. well, looked at it yet myself.

  6. My pickups
    1. Darth Vader 6
    2. Secret Wars 3
    3. Superior Iron Man 9
    4. Amazing Spider-man: Renew Your Vows 1
    5. Wolverines 20 (did you see the cover? this could be big)
    6. Swords of Sorrow 2
    7. Nailbiter 13 (looks to be picking up again, especially after that cliffhanger from issue 12)

  7. MIDNIGHTER #1 Variant (Will I actually start reading a DC title again?)
BROKEN WORLDS “10th” Variant (I’ve been picking up the BOOM! 10th year variants when I see them for whatever reason).
Passed on GI JOE 214 2nd prints though there were only 3 on the shelf.
Passed on STAR WARS #6 – new characters and whatnot but it’s demoralizing when there are 80 copies on the shelf and one in every subscription box.
Decided I’m probably not buying AUTUMNLANDs TOOTH & CLAW any longer.
And ZERO is still my favorite ongoing after 17 issues.
I also snagged 2x Harbinger #6 Vol 1 VF/NM with the coupons intact for 4.99 ea.

    1. Yeah, I snagged the Broken World 10th Anniversary variant along with the Frazer Irving Virgin variant at cover myself. Couldn’t find the Ward Virgin cover though.. but I like the Irving cover better anyways.

    2. I’ve thought about that as well with Star Wars but honestly, one shop I frequent is the same each month, there’s at least 100 copies available on release day. A few week pass and there’s either a handful or none left (or there’s only the 2nd or 3rd prints available). These are moving despite the huge print runs. So don’t let the print runs deter you. Star Wars is how old now? With the new movies coming out.. and as time passes, there will always be new fans born. The Star Wars collectors who don’t even read or collect comics are coming out from under their rocks to pick these up, to tuck away into their collections, to never be seen again until they die decades later and their family sells their collections off for their funeral, etc.
I’m getting now to the point instead of picking up 2 copies, I’ll be picking up 3-4.. new characters that might make their way into movies only entices these issues taking place between the original movies.

  8. Was first in line for a LCS 11AM opening, got the JSC variant for $20. Everything else is just gravy after that

  9. I love the open forum idea, and I can’t wait for more people to start using it. As far as speculation goes, two very overlooked books that are dirt cheap are Uncanny X-men #294 and Cable #73. 294 is the issue where Caiban, one of the 4 Horsemen becomes Death, and #73 is where he becomes Pestilence. Not sure which one he will be in the movie, but both are cheap enough to pick up for a score if it goes either way.

    1. There is also a Cable #73 reprint comic packaged with the Marvel Legends Cable action figure in 2004. I’m not sure if the comic sold more than the action figure, but my assumption would be the action figure would of sold far less. If that’s the case, that would mean a low print run…

  10. Star Wars #6 They are pumping these things out quickly. Wasn’t the last issue just a couple of weeks ago?
Big Man Plans #3 brutal series that I’m loving.
The Humans #5 The Humans are back!!!!
No Mercy #3 I love the promise this series has. 1rst issue was great, the 2nd a little flat, i’m hoping this issue picks it back up.
Plunder #4 A fun little mini series that’s closing with this issue.
I meant to mention this a couple of weeks ago but did anyone notice that Wytches snuck in a $1 price increase? Not a big deal but I like my $3 books.

    1. Yeah, I like the $3 books as well.
I was hoping to land the Big Man Plans variant to sell.. this time the shop I got the first two didn’t get any. Big bummer, it was an easy $25 flip for me every time getting them at cover price..

      1. the wytches increase might just be for the arc finale. and it looks like we’re getting a few more pages as well. has it been said that it will be $4 from now on? I personally do have a problem with the price increases. I don’t mind paying the extra dollar for marvel, because I like to use the digital code. but ill only buy a 4 dollar book (or 5 dollar marvel book) if its something I really want to read. but if theres a new #1 and im on the fence about it, that extra dollar will normally convince me to pass on it out of principle. i know all prices will eventually rise, but still. with that said, I would gladly throw an extra dollar at image or dc if they started including a digital copy. I love having the hard copy for my collection, but it is really fun to read books on my ipad.

        1. I’m the same about a digital code.. I really like redeeming codes to read on the go and not having to put my greasy fingers all over the physical copy..

    2. mikenccomic: I’m completely with you. I think I really noticed the price increase on Wytches because it was specifically a book I had been on the fence about. I had a slow week and It was only a $3 book so I took a chance on it. I’ve enjoyed it but I would have never read it had it started as a $4 comic. Humans was another book that I only took a chance on because it was a $3 comic. I’ll keep pulling Wytches and don’t have any plans to drop it but I hate to see the $3 book pool getting smaller and smaller.
I like the digital codes a lot. Star wars is the only proper Marvel book that I get but I really like reading on the iPad for the convenience. It’s nice not having to pull the actual comic out of the bag if the desire to read a back issue strikes. I don’t know that I would pay extra for that digital code however. If it was $5 for a comic with a digital code or $4 bucks without, I’d choose the $4 option every time.

  11. Another week. Another stack of comics to add to the growing “I need to find time to read these” pile…
    Arcadia #2
    Autumnlands Tooth & Claw #6
    Big Man Plans #3
    Brides of Helheim #6
    Broken World #1
    Darth Vader #6
    Dead Drop #2
    GI Joe #214
    Groot #1
Gunsuits #1 (local stores didn’t have these, had to purchase online)

    Midnighter #1
    Nailbiter #13
    Princess Leia #4
    Secret Wars #3
    Star Wars #6
    Star Wars #6 figure variant

  12. I think everyone here has that pile of shame lol. I know I do. I haven’t even read any books that have came out in the past 2 month. They are just sitting in there special place away from the kids waiting to get read lol.

  13. Today was an average day for ya boy. Got my obvious Action Figure variants because i’m hooked on these things like crack.
Star Wars #6 (regular and action figure cover)
    Rat God #5
    Wonder Woman Annual #1
    Justice League #41
    Green Lantern #41
    Star Wars #4 (Some extras)
Secret Wars Dr. Octopus Action Figure Variant
Renew your Vows Action Figure Cover
    D4ve #5
But the (biggest/most important to me) pickup I had this week was my 3D printer. The things I will pump out of that are going to be epic.

      1. It’s called a Overlord a Pro by a company called Dreammaker. It was a project I backed on Kickstarter.
