Flash TV show cast Wally West

This came out a few days ago but still worth a look. The Flash TV show has cast it’s Wally West according to the Hollywood Reporter.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

The Flash has recruited another speedster.

Insurgent star Keiynan Lonsdale has joined The Flash as a series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. He’ll play iconic DC character Wally West, who in the comics became known as Kid Flash, before eventually donning The Flash identity.

“Just like when we met Grant [Gustin] for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. “We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show.”

From the picture above The Flash casted the character more in line with the New 52 version of Wally West who first appeared in Flash Annual #3 and not the pre-New 52 version that first appeared in Flash #110 (that should save you several hundreds of dollars if you were interested in getting it.)

Flash Annual #3 goes for about $10. DC characters appearing on their TV shows do have a niuce way of popping up in price.

  1. i actually looked into this a few weeks ago, DC wiki has his first appearance listed as Flash Vol 4 issue 30 – same as the normal wiki page for “Wallace West” both have issue 30 of vol 4 of the flash

      1. its easy to fix read both stories and see wich one actually introduces the character, not the date it was released, because its more or less 1st story, would make more sence if 1st app would where a story starts then backwards by a week
