The Diamond Comics Advance Reorder List is a great speculator tool. It shows what books retailers are going back to get more of, in advance of their release. They are actually putting their money up betting these books get big. These are the books people are talking about in shops, message boards, and websites. It is nice to see new books up on the list. As Secret Wars winds down, it is allowing stores to be able to order other books. Books like Rick Remender and Sean Murphey’s TOKYO GHOST #1 CVR A MURPHY. Tis uber hard to get, have to spend good car down payment type of payment variants are getting a little ridiculous me thinks.. and they haven’t even released yet!
So if the comic book shops that have money increase their orders to get a few of these, this means the overall number of Deadpool #1 is going to increase. Knowing Marvel they’ll push this to a half million to million copies, we’ll end up with around 100 – 200 of these sketch variants that no normal collector can even afford and get swamped with a gazillion Deadpool regular covers out in the wild.

Midtown will likely have the Sketch cover but it’s probably not going to get listed on the website to order. š
Wow this variant is crazy. It’s not like it’s an original art. It’s a print and people really going to pay 10k for it. Crazy. Well I am still getting a reg cover and wait 3-4 years and get the variant for 100 lol. With this crazy price tag, it will loose value sooner or later. At least I hope lol
Yeah, if your going to do such a variant that has like a 1:5000 ratio.. at least make it so the sketch is an actual sketch.

I’d totally agree with that.
Honestly, sometimes when an issue has several variants, sometimes the regular is the best one out of the bunch in my opinion.
problem is that no real collector is going to pay that much so stores will probably have to take a loss just to unload them. also the regular version will be in the “10 for a buck” box by week 3.
