  2. Pick ups for this week are;
    Spring #1 ( sounds intresting)
Tokyo Ghost #1 ( We are all tech nerds, we just don’t admitt it lol)
Harley Quinn #20 ( for the wife)
Beauty #2 ( also got 2 covers of the templesmith variant. If you like his cover art, this one is a definite pick)

  3. Here’s my list before Tony and Poyo get me specing on additional books:

Afterlife with Archie #9: I don’t believe it until it’s in my hand.

Armor Wars #5: I don’t have much hope for this pay off.

Guardians of Knowhere #4: This has been better than expected!

The Infinity Gauntlet #4: Finally! I’ve given this book the benefit of the doubt that it will live up to its epic namesake. Probably not, though.

Star Wars #9: Need I explain myself?

Lando #4 Let’s see how Lando gets out of this pickle!

        1. Yeah, Afterlife started out strong, first 4 or 5 issues came out pretty quickly, one after the other each month.. then it just got horrible. I’m probably gonna keep buying but wait until I have 4-5 to binge read. I hate the months between issues.. I lose track of the story.

      1. After re reading my collection. Godkiller #1 is the first unnamed preview of Damon/Ceaser however he is not named. He is named in Liberator #1 which also introduces Jeanette. The first appearance of Sera Soloman is Space Riders #2. The main character bad&ss of Young Terrorists was not in the Godkiller Walk Among Us preview. She did appear first in Space Riders #2.There is also previews in Liberator #1 and We Can Never Go Home #3.

  4. Online pick-ups for me this week so apologies if any of the ones listed below have had their release date moved:–
    – Agent Carter SHIELD 50th Anniversary #1 (action figure variant)
    – Armor Wars #5 (I had high hopes for this at the start even investing in the 1/2 sketch variant but still hope something comes of this series)
    – Batman Arkham Genesis #2 (according to the solicits something big happens – but probably not)
    – Bloodshot Reborn #6 (cover D – Terminator homage)
    – Drive #2 (sub variant)
    – King #2
    – Miracleman #2 (I think that gets released today and was able to snag the Cho variant cheap which would be my Variant of the week)
    – Secret Wars Journal #5
    – Sex Criminals #12 (Kate Leth cover)
    – Star Wars #9 (action figure cover)
    – Superman/Wonder Woman #21
    – Rivers of London #3 (think that’s out this week)
    – The Spirit #3 (1:10 virgin variant)
    – Transference #3
Finally, isn’t Captain America White #1 released this week – I pre-ordered the 1:20 Sale Variant a while back
Also hoping Forbidden Planet fulfils my order of a couple of Gwenpool covers they were selling at cover price (all sold out now)

    1. im also hoping forbidden planet decide to honor the gwenpool cover order, i placed mine 5 days ago still processing apparently, if a book spontaneously gets hot i have known forbidden planet to not fulfill orders on occasion, which sucks tremendously! awesome pull list though πŸ˜€

    2. “Finally, isn’t Captain America White #1 released this week – I pre-ordered the 1:20 Sale Variant a while back”

Yes and I thought the Sale variant was the best one as well, found it today at cover price. Yay!

  5. Going to Baltimore Comic Con this year after a 2 year hiatus. (4th timer) Leaps and bounds above any other convention. I highly recommend it.

  6. Variant Pick was the J Scott Campbell Captain America White inhumans cover..heavily under ordered …could be close to 100 book by weeks end

  7. my pickups this week
    1. Guardians of Knowhere #4 (I like when the tie ins are actually relevant to the main Secret Wars story, which I’m hoping is what’s about to happen here based on last issue’s cliffhanger)
    2. Spider-Verse #5 (taking FOREVER for this story to pickup. only hanging on to this title because I liked the original Spider-Verse storyline so much. but this is pretty boring so far. and I don’t think the art fits for this type of comic)
    3. Star Wars #9 (I like Darth Vader series much better, but I feel like I have to follow both because theres going to start being cross overs)
    4. Harley Quinn #20 (this might be my last issue. the novelty is starting to wear off for me)
    5. Sex Criminals #12 (XXX variant. last issue was fantastic. and I love these variants so far)
    6. Bloodshot Reborn #6 (just a terrifically written book)
    7. Enormous #2 (or #8 or whatever. the art is beautiful. don’t really know how this book would translate into a TV series though)

and I keep kicking myself for missing out on the Gwen-Pool Variant of Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars 2. since I started speculating on comics about 2 years ago (as opposed to just reading them), I feel like Ive done a great job of snagging the books that really heat up. Divinity, We Can Never Go Home, Lady Killer, Enormous, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 44, etc. The two books I missed out on were Edge of Spider-Verse 2, and now the Gwen-Pool Variant. I guess it’s just been hard for me to accept the crazy appeal of Gwen Stacy. Gwen-Pool seemed so dumb to me. But Spider-Gwen, Deadpool, I should have known. Gwen Pool is now getting her own backup story in Howard the Duck, and her own one-off comic after that. I have this sinking feeling that this character is going to be popular for a long time. I really don’t think it’s just gonna fall off the map. Congrats to everyone who got the Gwen-Pool Variant. I really believe this is one to hold on to, because I think its gonna get huge.

    1. I’m in the same boat. I just can’t see the appeal/novelity of any Gwen-“character”. And if I don’t see it, I don’t buy it…..that’s just the way I roll in the spec market.

I see the market for these characters… imploding. The 90’s downfall all over again…in a slight different way.

    2. I’ll buy Gwen-Whatever to sell (cause there’s more suckers than not out there) but I no longer care about her. The cosplay craze driving the publishers to create books based on what people are dressing up as is not the right approach (probably why the Spider-Gwen story fell flat for me)..

This Gwen-Pool thing is just silly. The Mary Jane becoming a Armor hero is just silly as well.. but I’ll buy to sell to you suckers (yeah you know who you all are, you’re reading this and I’m gonna make money off you people)! πŸ˜›

      1. The only suckers are the ones visiting BleedingCool and buying into the hype. Creating hybrid-characters based on the current “feminism movement” is pandering to the SJW. I hate this trend; it’s lacks any sort of creativity and is a desperate, quick cash grab by Marvel.

        1. Can’t really blame Marvel though.. if they can make cash off the suckers, the more power to them. It’s the suckers who are demanding it, Marvel is just giving it to them and reaping the rewards by doing very little. πŸ˜‰

      2. I like single Jewish women too.. When Natalie Portman was single.. yeah baby! Who am I kidding, married even, I’d still try! πŸ˜›

I actually dated a Jewish girl back in high school.. good times..

    3. I haven’t seen anything regarding a new Enormous issue being released this week? Can anyone else confirm or deny this? Thanks.

  8. Newest issues of:
Usagi Yojimbo 148 (getting close to 150)
    Looking for Group
    Island (Brandon Graham)
    Rat Queens
    Sex Criminals (both covers)
    Tokyo Ghost
Miracleman (Neil Gaiman, but forgot to look for the Cho variant)
    Invader Zim
    Spider Verse 5 (I’ll bite)

Injustice Gods Among Us Year 4 #10 (HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE HARLEY!!! Harley story. Lcs had only two copies so I assume low print run. Decent Harley cover.)

Lumberjanes because Noelle Stevenson is no longer involved
Shutter because it is taking to long to go anywhere
