Syfy to air Beau Smith’s Wynonna Earp next March, eBay sales jump

Thanks to Rick D. for this one.

Syfy Channel announced back in July that they were picking up Beau Smith’s comic Wynonna Earp. Since then, more movement on the show has been announced, including that it will air in March.

Syfy has officially acquired “Wynonna Earp,” a 13-episode Canadian drama series based on the Image & IDW Publishing comic created by Beau Smith. Melanie Scrofano (Damien, Gangland Undercover) is set to star as Wynonna, Tim Rozon (Being Human, Instant Star) will play legendary con artist Doc Holliday, and Shamier Anderson (Defiance, Constantine) plays the mysterious Agent Dolls. Emily Andras (Lost Girl, Killjoys) is developing the series for television and will serve as executive producer and showrunner.

CHCH in Ontario has acquired the Canadian broadcast rights.
