Contemplating cutting back on the Star Wars books. I’ve picked all of them up so far, but they seem to dominate my pull every week!
I know what you mean. They’re coming fast and steady. After Shattered Empire concluded I was going to be down to the lone main Star Wars title. With the event coming up however I told my shop to drop me from the series completely. Too many books too fast.

Welcome to showside #1- ( can’t go wrong with books that have media deals and that look intriguing).
Self storage #1- ( ordered this back in previews and heard nothing but good tuff about it).
What if infinity Dark Reign #1- ( wasn’t going to get this at first but I just want to know what kind of madness the goblin would do with the infinity stones. Can’t wait to read it). This is the kind of work that marvel should be putting out there, not no BS stuff.
Book of death #4- ( been waiting for all 4 to come out so I can finally read the story).
Legends of the geomancer #4- ( also been waiting for all 4 books to come out to finally read them).
Deadpool vs Thanos #4- ( also finally can read all 4 books).
Spread #11- ( one of the best books out there IMO)
Wes Craven’s coming of rage #1- ( sad news to have lost such an icon. Can’t wait to read his final masterpiece).
Sesame Street another sunny day #1- For my little one since he likes cookie monster from the show. And who here hasn’t grown up watching Sesame Street lol.
Adventure Time Spoooktacular. The origin (1st ever revealed) of Marceline.
Nice to know…I’m grabbing the variant now.
Book of Death #4: I would say I’ve enjoyed Valiant’s summer event more than Secret Wars. I’m excited to see how this concludes and leads into Wrath of the Eternal Warrior.
Deadpool Vs. Thanos #4: I have no strong feelings one way or another because I’m collecting all four then binge reading.
Fight Club 2 #6: I have to back up an issue or two every time a new one comes out, but I’m enjoying this a lot. A thinking man’s comic.
New Avengers #2: this series only gets this one more issue to impress me. Not sure about these crystal monsters. The only thing that saved it was The Maker turning up.
Chewbacca #2: Some mixed reviews of #1, but this book is sufficient for a buddy-adventure mini-series. I’m loving Noto’s art as always.
Kanan #7: Dropped from my pull after #5, but the solicits of #6 and #7 have piqued my interest once again. I’ll probably back up and binge two issues.

I picked up a second print Rick and Morty #1 and flipped it for $45 in less than an hour of listing it. Making it my new mission to get the series.
Welcome to the club. That is good to know. I think I have 3 copies of that issue, I always get one copy of every issue for the PC and at least two more copies for flipping.
Everyone wants the 2nd print of Rick and Morty. I listed a 1st print, a 2nd print, and a 3rd print and got more for my 2nd print. But this was a while back.
The prices are crazy, I missed the #1 second print and was very lucky to find one for $3 about a week ago. Keep your eye on the Oni website for the NYCC variant.
Seems any Rick and Morty are just selling though.. if you find them, just buy’em regardless, pretty good chance you can make your money back + some. 🙂

Also, I have two auctions that are blank variants currently, a Mad Max Furiosa and Spider-Gwen Vol. 1 #1. Anyone who wins these that wants an actual sketch done by Larime on them, just holler, we can send them off to him first to sketch before sending off to the winner. I’ll also notify the winning bidder as well if they don’t see this update, since the auction won’t let me add that info on the current auctions.
Will send $10.00 paypal if my $1.25 BOD bid doesn’t get beat. Nothing Larime can do with $1.25, but at least $10.00 will buy dinner. Hell, I’ll send it if it does get beat. I’ll just send it.

Most of the auctions have ended so I’ve decided to eat the eBay costs and cost of the books themselves so all money made from the charity auctions I’m sending off to Larime and Sylv. It ended up coming to around $90. But stay tuned, we should have some really cool stuff coming up to raise even more money. Thanks to all that bought a comic to save Larime’s wife! Extra thanks to those that donated outside of the auctions.
Also picked up a copy of Self Storage. Nabbed the TMNT RI Sketch Variant for cover.
Seems Sesame Street was slim pickings as well. One shop had about 6 copies, another one was cleaned out.
Extra finds were I managed to find Amazing World of Gumball #1 though at one shop, 3 in fact. Early preview of Steven Universe. These seem to go for about $20+ on eBay, so I’m glad I didn’t buy them at $20+.
I don’t see any, besides the SDCC cover, selling for $20.

Yeah, I’ve been watching them for a while. Seems most people are trying to sell them around $20, I haven’t checked in a couple months though. I was originally watching them hoping the prices drop cause my kids love the show and I wanted to get some for them, at a lower cost. 🙂
Fairly light week for me. I (my wallet) could use a break after the last few however.
The Black Hood #6: I didn’t want to pick this book up because of it’s Archie relations. So glad my shop pushed this one to me because i’m absolutely loving it.
Death Head #4: I’m glad this is a mini series. I loved the solicit but the ghost girl is really ruining this book for me. I like the main story about the mask and the mysterious “town” but I feel like I was kind of duped into buying this book. The solicit was fairly misleading on this title.
Prez #5: Super cheesy and not at all my usual thing but I picked it up after a strong recommendation. Supposed to be 12 issues, shortened to 6 and you can tell they’re trying to tie up loose ends quickly. I won’t miss it.
Thankfully the Black Hood is in my box this week or it would be a bad comics week for me.
1. Blade 1 (I just loved the original movie so much. I’m very skeptical about this new angle though.)
2. Sam Wilson: Captain America 2 (Nick Spencer can do no wrong in my opinion. But please fix the awful title. Just ‘Captain America’ will do just fine).
3. Where Monster’s Dwell 5 (uh, is no one reading this book? I would love this to be an ongoing).
4. Spread 11 (part of me wants this to be made into a TV show or movie so bad. I would love to see characters like No and Jack played by real people in a snowy environment. But special effects technology is just no where close to being able to make the Spread look realistic. but what a great series. I loved the last issue. you get sucked into all the human drama. but then you remember, none of that matters compared to….the Spread. good stuff)
Just put my bid for the Mad Max blank variant Poyo. So if I win it, send it out to get it sketched. And signed if possible.
