Leave it to AMC to air one of the most anticipated comic related TV show trailers on one of the most anticipated comic related TV shows, brilliant.
After last week’s Walking Dead, people were sure to tune in to The Walking Dead to see what happened to a fan favorite character. So airing the Preacher trailer ensured maximum exposure.
Granted, fans didn’t get answers to last weeks cliffhanger (did he or didn’t he die) but were treated to seeing their first glimpse at the live action teaser trailer for Preacher. Check it out below.

Worth reading! I read it when it first came out but long ago sold the books. Sad about that.

Yes this was a loss for me. Sold them a long time ago as it had hit what seemed to be its high. Now has blasted past that.

I’m in the same boat. I picked up the first TPB for a few bucks at Half Price books months ago, need to read myself and then pick up the rest before the show starts.
I’m going the library route. That way I can catch up for free. I tend to forget how many trades they have. In fact I rented it once a few months ago but didn’t get to it in time before it was due.
Yeah, I always forget about the library as well. I might go that route myself.
I always say I’m going to read older trades from there but than never do. I buy anything new i’m interested in. I should try a used book store. There’s one actually down the street from my LCS.
I’ve dumped comics off at Half Price in my area. Great way to get rid of comics you know aren’t going to sell for even cover price to make a few bucks. I think I dumped some of the crap pickups that ended up no good once.. around 30-40 comics, made about $20.. which I buy trades they have for sale.
Thanks for the idea. I read my traditional books on my kindle so I hadn’t stepped foot in a book store in a long time. I still like my comics and trades in hard copy however and didn’t think about looking at a used book store for them.
I recently picked up a vintage TMNT at Second and Charles CGC 8.5 for $13. Could not pass it up.

Sounds like I’ve been missing out! I’m sure some people look to dump stuff not knowing what they have and I’m sure a used book store doesn’t know what they have either.

Both shows look great. Happy to say I read the first half Preacher as it came out. Unfortunately, I quit collecting new books at that point due to some controversy with comic distributing that severely screwed my local comic shop. I did manage to flush out the series out of dollar bins over the intervening years.
Can’t wait for the show.
Looks like people have almost cleaned out the Preacher back issues at my lcs, I bought as many issues I could find that were in decent shape a couple years ago and have been watching the rest slowly disappear. Surprisingly though, both the Jesse and Tulip action figures were still sitting in the back of the shop with all the old spawn toys, so I grabbed Jesse.
