Montress Continues to sell out

Monstress #1 sold out and went to a 2nd printing. The first print is selling for $12.99 and up. The 2nd print also sold out. The second print already is selling for above cover price.
Monstress #1 is going back for a third printing. Not only that but Monstress #2 has sold out now as well. It is also going back for a second printing. Monstress #2 can still be picked up for below cover price, even though some copies are selling for above (some cases 2x) cover price.
Monstress really is a great book, with fantastic story and art. This is lining up to be Images next big thing. Monstress #1 was the 92nd best selling book in November selling 30,041 copies.

      1. I bet most of them were. My reader copy is nicer than the one I got from midtown. Was very bummed about that. I guess I’m “oh well, got it for cover” over it.

    1. Unfortunately I only managed to get 2 of the signed, both came NM so I was happy only wish I could have gotten a couple more.

    1. I need to go count how many I have.. I know I got a few non-signed copies but I think I have more signed copies than non-signed now. I’ll let you know, but at this point, I can only see this one raising in value.

  1. I predicted this new printing back on Dec 11 on the CBSI site. No media options and no variants. What? A well-written comic is selling at $4.99 a pop?

      1. With Image’s new way of over printing, going to just a 2nd print is a big deal, 3rd print is even bigger deal.

  2. If they can maintain the quality of the first two issues, book could be huge. Best image title I read last year.

    1. #1 2nd printing had a different cover, I’m suspecting the 3rd might differ as well, which would be nice.

      1. No luck same cover for the 3rd printing #1 and same cover for the second printing of #2. I wish I would have known that before I pre ordered 3 copies of each.

        1. At least they changed the 2nd print for #1 to a new cover. I’d still pick up 3rd prints though, even with the same art, can still demand a premium later since the print run will be much lower.
