I am starting to get excited for this one. Not something I have said about an X-Men Movie in a while. I am really enjoying the darker tone and seeing two of my favorite X-Men hit the screen Havock and Psylocke.

I agree, It does look like it’s going to be a better x-men movie than the others, but……..
Apocalypse is just too skinny. I can’t get over it. I can’t comprehend the fact they decided to go forward with skinny Apocalypse, there is no way I can overlook this, and thus I will wait until DVD release.
I’ve been all X-Men’d out but I’ll probably see this one in the theater. I still haven’t seen Days of Future Past.
Is this the first time that we have seen archangel footage?

Only Marvel Studio fanboys will hate on this trailer lol. It looks so sick and I can’t wait to see it.
Other then skinny Apocalypse only real turn off for me is not using the real horsemen or at least villains as the horsemen. I don’t want to see Fox and Singer continue to make up Xmen stories that don’t follow or exist in the comics. If they wanted to do a horseman becomes a member of the Xmen movie this would of been a great time to introduce Gambit as a horseman.
There’s not been many comic book movies to come out recently (since their resurgence) I didn’t enjoy, but I wasn’t big on DOFP and I have absolutely zero desire to see this. They pretty much lost me when they decided to continue on with the First Class cast rather than the original. I’m not normally one who screams “BUT IT’S NOT LIKE THAT IN THE COMICS!!!” but I just can’t get behind these movies. Plus the fact that Mystique is going to be wearing her big-bankable-hollywood starlet Jennifer Lawrence face for much of the movie (at least this is what the trailers lead us to believe) doesn’t sit well with me. Maybe they will explain it away, but it seems lame (and yes, I realize the other heroes conveniently lose their masks a lot in the other movies, but this is even more blatant IMHO).
Just me being Mr. Negative…
All those movies have flaws as well. I think comic book fans differ on what is too comic book (ie) versus in today’s reality of not being too cheesy to the masses to make the studio money. Its a catch 20/20 a lot of the time.
And no, I’m not just a Marvel Studios fanboy, I really like the DC movies thus far, and am super stoked to see BvS and Suicide Squad.
