After writers, directors, and even stars had been talking about Deadpool 2, it may have seemed like it was already a foregone conclusion. But today at CinemaCon, 20th Century Fox made it official: Deadpool 2 is coming.
The movie will see the return of director Tim Miller, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and of course, star Ryan Reynolds. As has been talked about since, literally, the end credits of Deadpool, Cable will join him for the sequel.

Wonder if we will see New Mutants #87 blow up as much as New Mutants #98. Of course New Mutants #87 is the first full appearance, but also be on the look out for cheap copies of his first cameo in New Mutants #86 and his first appearance as baby Nathan Summers in Uncanny X-Men #201

  1. Don’t forget Marvel Age #82. Cable’s first printed appearance right before his cameo in NM #86. It has nothing to do with the continuity of earth 616 or any other in the Marvel U for that matter, but it still came first so should have some legs. Makes me wonder what the value would be if Deadpool had a preview in Marvel age before NM #98.

  2. Deadpool and Fox may now be trying to play ball with Disney and the MCU. They would like to put Spidey and Deadpool together in a future movie for that to happen Fox would have to strike a deal with both Sony and Disney/Marvel, which if only fox wasn’t being so stubborn with Marvel over a year back when Marvel was trying to bring the whole Marvel movie universe together in which Sony agreed and let Disney use Spider-Man and Fox wouldn’t agree to let Marvel use mutant or FF4 characters. Now people at the Deadpool camp may be swaying Fox execs to get back in negotiations with Disney and the MCU. The news of this could explain while Inhumans recently has been pushed back all the way to phase 4 if ever it gets made. If Fox wants to use the MCU then you better believe in return Fox will have to let Deadpool, Wolvie and a few Xmen, Galactus, Silver Surfer, and the FF4 be available for cross appearances. Which raises the question if these characters could be added to the coming Infinity movies if Fox/Disney/Sony can all agree to make it happen. http://comicbook.com/2016/04/14/deadpool-director-trying-to-build-bridges-for-spider-man-crossov/
