Its great when you can walk into the comic shop on Wednesday and pick up your comics. It is even better when you pick up comics on Wednesday and sell them for several times cover price by the end of the week. Dark Souls #1 is one of those books.
Except it didn’t wait until the week end to start jumping up in price. It was going up by the middle of the day. I called this the “Money Maker” in last nights picks of the week saying:
Dark Souls #1– what do you get when you have an established video game franchise, a book sold out at Diamond, and a small print run? Money.
Don’t try to find Dark Souls #1 at TFAW, MYCOMICSHOP, or MIDTOWN, as they are all sold out.
Copies of COVER A have been selling for up to $14.
Maybe time to swing back by the comics shop before they sell out.

Not really. One up for $12.99. One for $14.99 and one for $17.99. The $12.99 seller is dumb. That’s all the cover A on eBay currently.
you can’t undercut if no one is selling them…I sold a A-D for $65.00 earlier today so I raced around and was able to find a few more. 2nd printing already being offered by Titan.

I have covers A,B,C,D up on Ebay as a lot right now and it’s at $40. Picked up about 10 copies at my LCS early in the morning.

I am staying away from store variants as they do not perform as well as the regular covers. I have learned this lesson over and over again. Still could pop up more than the few dollars they are selling them for.

Distribution is sketchy from Titan in the U.S. Demand usually doesn’t last long on most of Titan’s sold out #1’s in the U.S either but they have some great hits.The Evil Within #1 from 2014 sold out similar to this book.
Sadly, a lot of flips do not last. Some times it is quick in and quick out. I have more than broken even so I am content.
This seems more than the typical flip….24 hours later and selling for more than they were. Seems like the regular covers are the hot ones (for once).
