It may be a brief cameo, at least for now, but photos coming off the set of Guardians of the Galaxy II as Wonder Man.
Wonder Man first appears in Avengers #9, which will not come cheap.
The set photos show Nathan Fillion in a series of movie posters as Simon Williams in several different roles. It is unsure at this point how much more he will be involved in the movie.

While it’s been known for quite some time that the legendary Nathan Fillion will be make at least a small cameo on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, recent photos from the set give some direct insight into just who he’ll be playing. Several posters and a marquee reference Simon Williams, a character also known as Wonder Man within the Marvel canon. In the comics Wonder Man is a chemically altered superhuman rival to Tony Stark, due to his similar heritage as the child of a munitions industrialist. He’s been an Avenger and was involved in the Civil War plotline of the comics as well.

I think the price of avengers #9 will keep most people from buying it, especially if the role turns out to be small.

I could see more interest and even some speculation purchases if he was an A or B lister, but I don’t think they will go to far with him…You never know, I just don’t see it. It might see a small bump though.
Hmmm… Maybe I was wrong. There have been quite a few sales for #9 on ebay the past couple of days. Still, I don’t see a huge upside to it. Can’t go wrong with semi key silver and an early Avengers I guess. I just hope people who buy this at a premium don’t expect a big return in the short run.
