Our own Alana mentioned Wolverine #80 this past weekend in her Weekend Spec’s. She also couldn’t mention why it would be so important but would play a part in X-Men Age of Apocalypse. Now the info she held back has come to light as the After Credit Scene has leaked.
Wolverine #80 had the test tube marked X-23, which many decried as a coincidence. Well, the after credit scene has something very similar:

“We see a besuited man walking through the remains of the Weapon X clean-up programme, removing the blood, bodies and bullets. And a suited man retrieving vials of Wolverine’s blood labelled Weapon X. And placing them into his briefcase which contains other vials of differing colours. Slamming shut, it is labelled ESSEX CORP.”
It has been noted that X-23 will appear in the X-Force Movie. From Comicbookmovie.com
This could further drive up Wolverine #80 and more importantly NYX #3

Essex, of course, refers to Nathan Essex, AKA, Mr. Sinister. His first appearance is a little more “Marvel”. The first reference to him is in Uncanny X-Men #212, his first appearance in shadows is in Uncanny X-Men #213
, and he finally fully appears in Uncanny X-Men #221
.
It is also confirmed, as Alana said, that Weapon X Wolverine would be appearing:

is Weapon X 1st appearance.
Notice, Alana’s post went up two full days before it was confirmed on Bleeding Cool.
Alana has got some connections it seems or she can see two days into the future! Either way just another of many great reasons to log onto CHU a few days a week at least!

Also if I were a FOX exec I would be extremely upset with Singer. I feel like I’ve already watched this movie, end credits scene and all. It doesn’t come out for weeks! They should of never showed the claw covered in adamantium in a trailer, they shouldn’t of leaked the Dazzler Easter egg, they shouldn’t of put out a female casting call for Wolverine 3 yet that basically describes X-23, I could also tell you the fate of each of the horsemen. Hope there’s something left for us to be surprised by.
Nope…. and from most of the early reviews, seems it’s not holding it’s weight either. I still haven’t seen the last X-Men movie… this might end up as a redbox or Netflix movie for me now.

I’ve heard the same thing about the reviews. Sounds like it might be time to start selling some key issues.
Also Kicking myself for selling my NYX #3 last year. Selling for double what I sold it for now even though I doubled my money then.
I got a good price for mine especially since I paid cover price for it when I got my copy. But I hate that on a whim I said what the hell I will sell it and then all this happens. Going to turn me into a hoarder.
I had 2 copies… and yeas I did make a profit on both sales… pretty good profit, I could have made much more today :o(
Oh well! Got a new phone and laptop with that money and those 2 things keep on giving! ;o)
More Black Panther news looks like “Finn” John Boyega will be joining the cast as well.
I saw he was joining the Marvel Universe but was trying to figure out where he was going.
