    1. No Idea. I am thinking it is an homage to Kurt Swan and Dennis O’Neil. Not sure. And not sure it is much of a homage (amalgamated at that.)
It is a non-reveal by DC

      1. It hasn’t been a well told story, as it’s clear that there is an agenda to dot the I’s and cross T’s before Rebirth. The whole arc is to serve Rebirth so as far as storytelling goes, kind of wonky. Tomasi was great on Batman and Robin and I assume his work on Superman will be good when he takes over. But, yes, it’s wonky. BUT, it has, in my opinion, along with American Alien, and Lois and Clark brought nostalgic Superman fans back who really hated new 52 Superman.

  1. does Lois get caught in the blast or is that the last page. Just trying to see if this is superwoman’s origin.

  2. Denny Swan, that’s about as exciting as the first and last appearance of Bernie in WD 127.

  3. This is the first time the character who was phasing in and out of being Solar Superman and believing he was Clark Kent and Superman was identified. This still could be relevant because the future solicits of the Super books still reveal someone like this. I.E A new Eradicator. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Funny stuff Batman getting all cranky with Lois…not sure I’ve seen that before.

  5. trainwreck…
read 1st page of Titans Hunt #8
it explains the “not a reboot” Aspect of rebirth
    awful stuff

  6. DC & Marvel have pandered to the internet for five years…
    Diluting their line…
    Everybody is gender-swapped
    Everybody is of color…
    Everybody is gay..
All stories are on an “alternate earth”
I get fans in every day that just want things back to “normal”
Stories that matter with characters they recognize.
Tell a good rock solid Superman story….
Don’t worry about making the mythos diverse until you get your house in order.
    .

    1. My 10 year old son isn’t a fan of the gender-swapped characters. He asked me the other day “Why can’t they just leave them alone?”

    2. agree 100%! Write all new characters that interest everyone! That’s the best way to gain diversity…not cash grab re-hashes.

  7. Superman has been a top billing, instantly recognizable, iconic, household named character for the better part of a century…so, let’s change him. ?????

  8. I’ve been so far confused over this Superman stuff just staying away from it. But Hank Pym shows up wearing an Ultron suit tomorrow in Uncanny Avengers #4 may be worth a pick up.

  9. This is a reason I stick with Batman when it comes to DC. The only good Superman story I’ve read recently was Unchained by Snyder. Snyder stuck with the basic normal Superman and created it with just good story telling.
