Francis Manapul Mystery Harley Quinn #1

Here is one for you. Artist Francis Manapul had this up on his Instagram:

The post states that it is for Hoknes Comics in Raleigh, NC.
However, it is not. I have spoken to Kevin at Frankie’s Comics formerly HoknesUSA, and this is not their cover. They are going a different route which has already been in the works.
This cover is actually for another site that we are trying to get confirmation on.
Regardless, it is an awesome image of Harley taking her trademark mallet and smashing up the Joker.
As of yet, the cover has not been officially announced, and it may not be final art because I also stumbled across this slightly different colored version:

This one appears to be an earlier version featuring Harley’s old hair color.

  1. Awesome cover! I bet if it was Harley on the ground and Joker standing over her people would freak the BLEEP out. lol

  2. Hey guys .. Line variants are up at Legacy for the Artgerm Harley variants…22.99 limit one and you had to already order a Harley Artgerm earlier or they will cancel your order,. This is supposed to be a 450 print run…just got mine on order…….

      1. Hey anthony have u seen the Ed Benes or Warren Louw? Do either one of these have a big following? Do you like either of these variants?

    1. Would get it but just bought the bulletproof Dell Otto variant set have the Artgerm set and the Comic exposure set (my fav). Just can’t do anymore Harley #1s going broke. I think the 3 variants I went with are the best! Dell Otto ones are already going for more on eBay then Bulletproofs website.

      1. So Frankies is going to have a store Variant too? With that Manapul I think the total is up over 15 now. That’s not including the stores that went with two versions. That’s a LOT of Harley…

  3. What I meant was it includes the stores that went with 2 covers but not counting the B/W. And with Legacy’s 3rd line variant that total has to be up over 20 covers. Good luck to the folks trying to hunt down a complete set.

  4. Saw 3 more covers today. I think I counted 30-31 covers on Batman #1 including the standard A and B covers. Looks like Harley is going to be somewhere around that number too.
