We told you about Briggs Land back on May 6th as being a comic coming out from Dark Horse and having built in spec, it was optioned by AMC way before the book was even solicited by DIamond. Flash forward to today, and we are getting a little more news on it.
Bleeding Cool had people on site at SDCC today reporting that not only has Briggs Land been sold to AMC, but, Brian Woods would be writing the TV adaptation of Briggs Land.
Briggs Land #1 will be out August 17th from Dark Horse comics and is being described as Soprano’s meets DMZ as per Woods.

Yes. Brian Woods confirmed he is writing a pilot for Briggs Land at the Diamond Retailer Lunch. He said it. I was there and will confirm the story. Then he showed a preview feel for the story. It looks excellent!
Awesome Ray. Hope you had a good time. Your photos on Facebook look like you had a blast.

By the way, there was a mini comic book promo a few weeks back on my LCS. It looks to be the first 12 pgs of the comic and the last page shows sketched character developments. Will this be like Absolute Vertigo for Preacher?
looks like one of those you find in a box of Cheerios…selling at SDCC this weekend.
How much was it going for?
