      1. Mines been at Cgc for what seems like a lifetime now. Literally business day 63 and still says scheduled for grading. ?

  1. Uncanny X-men#160 should also have some importance; since that issue was originally considered the 1st appearance of Magik. It’s the Origin of Illyana as Magik, and the issue where she is actually aged-forward into a teenager due to her time spent in Limbo.

    1. Bingo! I just happened to be going back and reading some X-Men lately and just read that issue.
I’m glad someone else agrees! This book should get traction, it is a hugely important part of her story, and explains her occult persona with all the pentagram and such, the medallion, everything.
It was what I call a live origin (origin stories that happen in real time, rather than a flashback).

  2. The market may have decided NM 14 is an important book, but I’d say UXM 160 and Magik 1-4 are all significantly more important.
She uses her powers for the first time out of limbo in NM14. That’s it. Big deal. She used her full powers in limbo in the Magik mini and appeared for the first time as an adult outside of limbo in UXM 160. She’s not explicitly named in any of them.
But whatever, flip em if you got em. It doesn’t seem likely to change.

    1. the market is fickle, indeed. i still don’t understand why origin issues are never particularly valuable, especially compared to first appearances.
