Variant Envy: Deadpool Back in Black #1 Dale Keown Comic Mint Variant

The Comic Mint is doing something interesting with their variant for Deadpool Back in Black #1. First, they have a color and black and white variant for the book done by Dale Keown. It is limited to 1500 color and 1000 black and white copies. They are also releasing a NYCC Variant of the cover with the NYCC logo. But that is not the cool thing. They have special pricing on the book making them as cheap as $5.97 per copy for the color variant.

They are discounting the books based on how many copies ordered. The more copies you buy the cheaper they are. Steven Finkle, who is a fan of the spec market, wanted to build in prices for people who were interested in flipping the books. The copies they are selling of the regular printing of the book are the same discount, with the cheapest being $2.55 a copy (37% savings).
They are also doing the graduated discounts for their Jessica Jones #1 variant by Siya Oum. And again, they are doing it for their Enchanted Tiki Room variant.
You can check out the variants at The Comic Mint

    1. Yeah, it’s not doing much for me either. Like I said, I’ll just buy a Spider-Man 2099 book, almost all their covers look like this but are actually better looking.

  1. I thought that was Rob Liefield when I first saw it. I like Dale Keown’s work too. Liked it when he did Hulk and Darkness.
