NYCC 2016 Variant Update

Going to cons can be expensive, it is easy to spend way more than you want and worry about justifying it later. One way people offset the cost is by flipping con exclusives.
Most cons have exclusives, NYCC, like SDCC, has tons of exclusives. I will have Mel, or Tyson B. from www.toyboxone.com give a bit on that later, but here is how things are performing:
Image
Reborn #1 Sketch NYCC – This is the most in demand and scooped up the quickest at the Image booth. This one is selling in the $50 range. $10 cover price if you can get there quick enough.
Cannibal 1 NYCC Variant – One copy has sold for $64.99 but most are listed in the $39.
Moonshine #1 NYCC Sketch – This one is selling between $50-60. Again, sells out quickly every day and at only $10 its a solid flip.
Dark Horse
Briggs Land #2 NYCC – is the value pick up. at $5 cover, they are already selling for $12-13 and could go up. TV show coming is a huge draw.
Chimichanga #1 NYCC – is also a value book. Can be picked up for $5 and sold for $12.
Aftershock
Animosity #2 NYCC – is a $10 pickup and is selling for $19-27
Aftershock also has Animosity #1 4th Print for sale. These are going for $5+ on eBay, but, Midtown, TFAW, and Mycomicshop are sold out. These are out next week. Will be interesting as this will have a low print run, similar to that of the 2nd print, according to Joe Pruitt.
Shipwreck #1 NYCC – Selling for $19-49. However, the one from The Comic Mint is selling for up to $100, but has listings as low as $30 (this is the one with the man in the desert with the birds overhead)
Marvel
Marvel Monsters Unleashed Connecting cover set – These were only given out to retailers that attended the Marvel Retailers Meeting at NYCC. They are pretty rare, only one is up on eBay currently (for full disclosure it is mine) so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
Dead pool Back in Black #1 NYCC – Another Comic Mint Exclusive at the show. Sets are selling for $60, with the con exclusive only cover selling for $59 on its own
Black Mask
Black #1 Red Variant was seeing for more, but has settled in to the $95 range.
Black #1 White Variant – also selling in the $100 range with a high of $139.
This is not all the exclusives at the show, but a good sampling.

    1. Scout had their NYCC exclusive variant for Girrion, seems to be selling around the $25 range or so. The ComicMint Desert Wind variant is doing around the same but is limited to just 400 copies.

    1. Actually my last comment was thinking of another comic. Girrion ComicMint Desert Wind variant is 150 copies. The NYCC Exclusive Girrion is actually 250 copies.

    1. Yeah, they blow up but sometimes simmer down.. unless the book ends up being hot. I think Reborn has that chance. I believe it’s going to fair better than most of other Millar’s books because Capullo is the artist. I know people love Millar but I think more people love Capullo.
I’ve read Cannibal. I really liked it. I’d throw it in the same category as Nailbiter. I need to read Reborn and Moonshine.
I’ll try to have some reviews up for Anthony to post for those that haven’t read these, well, definitely Reborn since it doesn’t hit shops until Wednesday.
