Sunday Night Open Forum

So… I know football was going on tonight, but something more important to talk about. The Walking Dead. I would not read on if you haven’t watched tonights episode.
Back on July 26th, I made a guess video on Youtube which got some (over 1,100 views) that picked it half correct at least the first kill was as I had guessed in the video.

So anyway, let’s hear reactions and all keep an eye on Walking Dead 100.
So, let’s hear reactions to tonights show.

    1. agreed. This season will be nuts and I thin people should (and I have been saying this for a long while now) be picking up issues 101 and up

        1. I mean go back and get those 101 on if you an find them I found a bunch of 102 a while back and bought them all. 108 is coming to and will still jump when Ezekiel hits tv, but know there are none in the wild.

    2. Real Love is saying “I will find you” after your head is bashed in and eye popped out. Real bravery is saying “Suck my nuts” after having your head bashed in.

  1. Wow….what an episode. I was shocked to see two people die. I felt like people that read the comic would have been disappointed if Glenn did not die. It was a good curve ball they threw by killing Abraham, having you think it was over and then BANG killing Glenn. For a minute I thought Rick was going to lose his hand.

    1. I was hoping he would lose the hand. Then Kinda hoping Carl took it. I want to see Carl being pushed around in a wheel chair with no eyes, no arms, no legs, and Rick saying “where’s Carl?”

    2. I really thought they copped out when he took down Abraham. Then they came and got Glenn. His eye….Disgusting. Even though I knew what was coming it was such a brutal episode.

  2. Absolutely one of the hardest and most emotionally draining hours of television or movie I have ever watched! We had 15 people crammed in my living room watching and half were balling like babies! After the episode was over, I found my sister-in-law out on the deck smoking a cigarette with the 1,000 yard stare…and she doesn’t smoke! It was one of those episodes that will be in your head for a long time! Great writing and even better acting! 100% worth the wait!

  3. Great opener! It’s crazy how much more vile and intense something is watching the live action vs reading the book (even with the visual you get from comics)

  4. I became a Negan fan with TWD #104-107, the Negan/Carl relationship was great. The tv series may now focus on a Negan/Daryl arc, this may not work as well, too bad.

    1. Nope, it’s nothing but a zombie show. Kirkman claims it’s a guy named Rick, that happens to be living in the zombie apocalypse. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Just heard that Steve Dillon has passed away, he was only 54. (Sorry not topic related)
He was one of my favourite artists from drawing Mean Machine in 2000AD when I was a kid. Then of course Hellblazer and Preacher. Gonna be missed.

  6. I’m a bad, bad, man…. cheered when Glenn “got it”.
My wife just glared at me… I was like “C’mon I’m rooting for the comic!”
I knew it was going to be a two fer when Daryl jumped up. Nice little twist, making everybody think it was all over when Abraham got it. I’m glad they didn’t wuss out and stayed true to Negan’s 1st appearance. Even made him a little more vicious. I thought he was gonna take Rick’s hand as well.

    1. I was secretly hoping for the Carl in a wheel chair with no eyes, arms or legs, and Rick still having to ask “Where’s Carl” scenario.

      1. Lol! When they were teasing Carl might lose the limb, I was a little mortified. They already took an eye, and all I could see was the black knight from Monty Python.

      2. Some of the you tube reaction videos to Negan’s kill are freaking hilarious and worth a look if you have time to kill.

  7. Ok two things:
    Thing the first:
Man, I wish I checked the site last night. I’m late to the game on this chat.
    Thing the second:
I’d been saying to my friends since the finale (I wish I could prove it!) that it would be these two. Glen because they kind of have to and abe because he got past his expiry date already.
For the amount that actually happened, it was a pretty dull episode. I find when they flash back and forth in time like they did, it takes you out of the moment.

  8. Well, this whole Darryl situation adds a whole new element to Negan that we obviously never got to see in the comics. There’s no telling where they could go with that storyline now!

      1. I don’t know how I feel about that. It that was so effective in the comics was because Carl was a kid. I don’t know if you get that same creepy dynamic with a capable adult.

  9. Apparently most of the critics hated the episode with a good many of them swearing the show off forever. Personally I think the show is a horror show that’s been masquerading as mainstream tv hit finally showed it’s true colors last night. I’ll be curious to see the ratings for the season and see if they really do drop or not.

    1. Anyone who quits the show over two bad episodes is a moron who was probably faking liking the show in the first place.
Let’s be honest, it was two bad episodes, not a steady decline over time.

      1. I’m with you and I was kind of shocked by the backlash. I mean, people saw it coming right? It was a secret that someone was getting bashed in the head with a baseball bat.
